This is the latest article with Wesley Robinson, George's bodyguard friend saying that Scheibe is simply a friend of both men. She lived a few minutes from the house and came along as Wes did. There is no romance with George, claims Wes. They are all friends from high school, he says.
Wes can sing his song all day long, it doesn't change the fact that it is poor judgment to bring a pretty little blonde along, when they knew what Shellie had been saying publically, and how she was feeling. Whether or not the 911 call happened before Shellie saw the girl is irrelevant. The purpose was to create a certain perception in Shellie that George has options open to him. Friends today, doesn't mean they're not kindling something, or that she's not a FWB or FWOB, for one or both of them, but its a pretty big matzo ball hanging out there. It was very deliberate whoever came up with the idea, and it may not have been George's idea.
I think people know what perception they are creating in the minds of others, whether consciously, or purposely putting it out of their awareness because they don't wanna give it too much thought, hoping that they can maintain an air of innocence afterward. How can you not know how others are going to perceive it?
I say this not as criticism of what Wes said, but I have seen people do this sort of thing, and pretend they didn't have any intention to harass, intimidate, provoke or rub other people's noses in what they are so obviously doing.
A Firefighter I knew was telling me a story of how he and other Firefighters from work decided to go to lunch together with a few friends of theirs from the Sheriffs dept. They all parked in their work vehicles at a Mexican Restaurant, and walked in as a group, in full Law enforcement and Firefighter uniforms. All the workers in the Mexican restaurant, cook, waiters, cleaners, and patrons also ran out the back door.
The owner was livid and sued both their departments for frightening off his restaurant staff and customers. The Firefighter tells me that he thought it odd that they all ran off, after all why should they do that if they were not illegal workers? But what he didn't seem to comprehend is that Mexican workers whether legal or not, will be scared if they see a full battalion descend upon them like that. Law enforcement often makes mistakes, and God forbid if those poor fellows didn't have their papers on them or some such thing, they don't wanna go through things in a system where they don't speak the language or know the rules.
The Firefighters and Police were purposefully thoughtless. They could have called the owner and let him know they were going to descend on him like that, so he could inform his staff not to worry. A whole group like that walking into a place which they normally come in to bust? And in his story too, the Firefighter seemed to relish the fact that they walked in looking right smart in their sharp authoritative uniforms.
That's exactly what happened with George and Wes and Scheibe, they simply happened to ask Scheibe to come along when Shellie had told George of at least one girl, don't bring her to the house. Wes or George, someone should have thought about the perception they were creating, with Scheibe all dressed up like they were going on a date, tossing her hair about, kicking her legs this way and that in the sleek long sundress, getting on top of the truck, bending over, twisting this way and that, turning her back to the cameras with phone to her ear like see how important I am (she didn't look shaken at all, she seemed to be relishing the attention)!
Just like that Firefighter relishing his story with minute details about how they ran all the Mexicans out of that restaurant. No thought to maybe, they should have considered how the Mexicans perceived them and how scared they might have been, not knowing what kind of bust these guys were about to do.
