Baltimore mayor lifts curfew 6 days after riots
Bart Jansen, USA TODAY 3:15 p.m. EDT May 3, 2015

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced Sunday that she was lifting the six-day curfew imposed after riots ensued over the death of a black man who sustained a spinal injury while in police custody.

"My goal has always been to not have the curfew in place a single day longer than was necessary," she tweeted. "I believe we have reached that point today."

Freddie Gray 'did not hurt himself' insists fellow passenger in police van
By Monte Plott, CNN
Updated 0556 GMT (1256 HKT) May 2, 2015

(CNN)The man who rode in a police van with Freddie Gray -- separated only by a partition -- is adamant about two things:

"I know for a fact that he (Gray) did not hurt himself," Donta Allen, who was a fellow prisoner in the van during a portion of the meandering path of the vehicle after Gray was taken into the custody and before medical help was summoned, told CNN's Don Lemon in an interview. Reciting a litany of Gray's injuries, Allen added "you cannot do that (to yourself) in the paddy wagon. You can probably hit your head and have a little headache, but you can't hurt yourself to the point you're going to be dead."

And as for a report in the Washington Post that he told investigators he had heard noises indicating Gray was trying to injure himself, "untrue. Very, very, very untrue," said Allen.

So the guy that wasn't really in the van knows for sure he didn't hurt himself? OK, I can buy that, the one responsible is the van driver, let the rest go, put him in jail for life. That would be classic!

I mentioned this yesterday. Anyhow I have found part of the video I was looking for where Donta says that he saw Freddie Gray the day before Freddie was arrested. This would lead one to draw the conclusion that Donta and Freddie knew each other.

Donta says at about the 2:18 mark I still haven’t seen Freddie Gray to this moment last time that I seen Freddie was the day before they lock him up and do that stuff to him

http://www.msnbc.com/all-in/watch/priso ... nbc_native

There is a still longer version which seems to have disappeared where Donta refers to Freddie as “Shorty”. Maybe a someone cansave this as it does show Donta knew Freddie before the fateful paddy wagon ride.

As the agenda turns.

posted at tail end of other thread so sorry for repeat. Someone I am close with works in Baltimore at the hospital Freddie was brought to after the police found him unresponsive (UMMS).

She was talking with the team from the ambulance that brought him in and they told her essentially that Freddie Gray was well known not just to police, but also the medics for banging his head against the transport vehicle(s) in order to be taken to the hospital in lieu of the trip to booking.

Again, this was told to her the day of, and roughly within 2 hours of the him being transported to UMMS Hospital and not something that someone ‘remembered’ after the co-prisoner’s report came out.

So, not only is Freddie known to police, but he was known to the local medics for intentionally inflicting injury upon himself while in police custody (“Banging his head on the wall”).

Curiouser and curiouser. If that is true Mosby should resign, she already should resign but when we live in a rabbit's hole reality is only just a word.

Exclusive look inside the Freddie Gray investigation
By Justin George The Baltimore Sun contact the reporter

Image

In a fourth-floor conference room at Baltimore police headquarters, two training officers in blue T-shirts and blue pants lowered themselves onto the carpeted floor to demonstrate the leg hold officers used to restrain Freddie Gray the day he was arrested — and sustained a fatal spine injury.

As one officer played Gray's role, lying face down on the floor, the other bent his crossed legs back toward his head. Watching closely were members of the police task force investigating Gray's death, and Dr. David L. Higgins, a Maryland orthopedic surgeon who has worked with the U.S. Olympic team.

I’ve been away most of the day so sorry if I missed this… The Baltimore Sun “Exclusive” behind the scenes of the Baltimore PD investigation into the Freddie Gray incident revealed that the police HAD NOT even completed their investigation or determined HOW the injury occurred before SA Mosby trotted up to the mic Friday (without telling BPD) and announcing charges, including 2nd Degree Murder … We have a legit scandal on out hands.

The article says the investigative team at police HQ was stunned when Mosby showed up on T.V. announcing charges. This is truly unbelievable. And the fact that it’s not getting more attention is even more disturbing.

I only read Goodson. A lot of the charge seems to be that nobody called for Medical assistance at any time. However Justice_099 seems to have come across a different story than what is being reported.

I purchased a subscription to broadcastify.com in order to listen to the police and EMS radios around the arrest.

I have already stumbled on a juicy tidbit that we haven’t been told.

The police requested an EMS to meet them at the second to last stop (1600 W. North Ave and Pennsylvania Ave.) This is where they supposedly picked up the second passenger as well.

But for some reason, they called the EMS dispatch again and said to meet them at the station instead.

If EMS was summoned as Justice-099 seems to have uncovered, it would seem reasonable that Goodson would have known even if Goodson himself did not place the call for EMS.

“…The call was made at 9:26 a.m. by police after the van transporting Gray reached the Western District police station. Gray was unresponsive at that point, but that is not the injury paramedics were expecting to find.

According to new information obtained by the 11 News I-Team, the injury described in dispatching the call was for a broken arm, far less serious than a man unable to breathe. The medic unit arrived at the Western District at 9:33 a.m., but without the fire engine and extra manpower usually dispatched with a more serious call.

Three minutes later at 9:36 a.m., after the medics reached Gray, who was still in the van, the paramedics called for the extra support, describing him as non-breathing.

The call for Gray may been confused with a call from police five minutes earlier for a person with a broken arm at Pennsylvania and North avenues, which is the previous stop the police van had made that morning to pick up a second prisoner. It is not clear how a mix-up may have happened.”

Interesting if it is true that the EMS people also said that he was known to bang his head in over to avoid being booked. But then the doctors say that wouldn't do it so that wouldn't seem to explain injuries. Hope this will be a fair trial.

Did Angela Corey write these charging documents?

The real irony here is that these charging documents charge police officers with serious crimes, up to and including murder, without any probable cause whatsoever of murder – while at the same time, admonishing the officers for arresting Gray without probable cause of any crime being committed.

EXCLUSIVE: Where's the bolt that 'killed Freddie Gray'? Standard-issue police van has SMOOTH cage doors, raising questions over leaked report that says fall in paddy wagon caused catastrophic injury

Medical examiner's report described how Gray may have injured neck
    • Theory claimed he fell forward while cuffed and hit his head on a bolt
    • But specifications for the Chevrolet Express van show no such bolt
    • Photographs of other Baltimore Police also contradict theory
    • Gray's spine was somehow severed while in police custody on April 12

    By Daniel Bates For Dailymail.com
    Published: 02:27 GMT, 1 May 2015 | Updated: 13:32 GMT, 1 May 2015

The police van in which Freddie Gray supposedly sustained his fatal injuries does not come with a bolt sticking out from the back door, Chevrolet has confirmed.

Designs from the car maker show that the Chevrolet Express - the vehicle used by the Baltimore Police Department - is smooth on the inside of both cage doors.

Chevrolet spokesman Michael Albano confirmed to Daily Mail Online that the standard issue Chevrolet Express Police Transport Van has bolts that are built into the door and don't stick out.

Mr Albano said that law enforcement agencies are known to customise their own vehicles and that the Baltimore Police Department may have done so to their fleet.

The development raises a number of questions about the official account put out by the force which emerged today in a report of its internal investigation into Gray's death.

    Breaking Baltimore news on Fox.
A black guy shot.. gun at scene. Conflicting stories.. including hysterical black woman who is adamant "victim" din do nuffin.. White cop gunned him down in street

Report of gun (revolver) dropped and going off. Reporter on scene heard just one shot.

Wild guess... guy shot himself as he tried to get gun from waistband.

    My take on Baltimore:

Black lives are important. Black on Black civilian murder takes many more lives than by the 50% Black police force. Where is the outcry? When police try to solve murders, they run into a "no snitch" wall of silence. On the basis of released information, I believe that the police were wrong in many respects. They arrested a person whose only action after seeing them, was to run. In their custody, the police failed to care for his well being. Simply wrong!

The situation in Baltimore is similar to the Middle East and to the BDS movement here. It matters not how many Palestinians are killed by Arabs, the outrage rises only when Israelis are involved.
