Col Rensburg said Ms Stander said Pistorius had told them he "thought the deceased was an intruder and he shot her".

Pistorius was pacing "up and down" in the kitchen, and Col Rensburg told him to stand by the basin.

He then ordered someone to control access to the scene.

A picture of the lounge area is shown, with a leather sofa and two armchairs.

One of the chairs has two spots of blood on the arm, and another has more blood spots on.

The court is also shown a close up of blood spots scattered on the chair and marble floor, and "presumable blood stain spatter on tiles" of the marble stairs.

Detective Botha then arrived at the scene.

"I showed the body to him and together we then followed a trail of blood upstairs," says the witness.

They are now going through pictures of the downstairs of Pistorius' houses.

The hearing has resumed.

The court is now being shown a picture of where Ms Stander took the towels from on the landing to stop Reeva bleeding.

There are more blood spots on the marble tile floor.

There is a picture of a magazine with bullets and pouch found in the bedside drawer, close to the sliding door.

Opposite the bed is a flatscreen TV, hifi system and large speakers.

There were two fans in the room, neither of which were switched on, the witness says.

On top of the hifi, there were two phones and "coenzyme compositum syringes".

There is blood on a box of watches, on the duvet, and flipflops on the bedside table away from the windows.

There are pictures of a holster "lying between the lamp and the side on the bed" on the left side.

Now we see inside the bedroom with a steel fan bu the patio door, leading to a balcony.

There is a duvet on the floor and you can see a box of watches on the side.

The witness says the curtains were drawn open when he was at the scene.

There are a pair of denim trousers on the floor, and the next picture shows an iPad to the right of the bed on the floor.

The pictures, continuing to follow the route Col Rensburg took through the house, take us along the landing and to the bedroom. We see a black airgun, and tall metal cabinet packed with sunglasses.

There is a small hole in the bedroom door, but we are now told what caused it.

Now we are heading down the corridor to the bathroom. There are clothing cupboards on both sides, and you turn right at the end to get into the bathroom.

There is "cartridge casing" on the carpet just before you turn right.

Another photo shows the bathroom entrance with splintered wood, and the corner bath can be seen.

The the beige bathroom, a red vanity bad can be seen resting on the side of the bath.

Blood can be seen on a brown towel, next to another empty cartridge. Another empty cartridge is next to the bath.

There is an image of the basin, with bloodspots and two toothbrushes next to each other.

The next photograph shows the bloody cricket bat next to the blood-soaked towel.

We are shown a macabre scene in Photo 103 - the gun is on top of a grey bathmat, next to the blood stains and cricket bat.

There is a mobile phone lying in a pool of blood under the bathmat.

On the side of the gun appears to be stamped: "PT917 CD CAL 9mm PARA". The witness says it is cocked, with the hammer pulled back. It was "ready to fire".

Reeva's friends are said to be finding this hard to watch. One friend, Desi Myers, is doubled up.

Tiles have fallen from the toilet wall, and the doors top panel has gone.

There are keys on the outside of the toilet door, with a green plastic fob attached.

Proceedings beginning on day 10 in the court room.

Mr Van Rensburg is back in the witness box.

He begins by saying the bathroom window is too high for "someone to have gained access".

The court is now seeing dramatic pictures of Pistorius, bare chested, with blood on his lower half.

The witness says he found him without a shirt, with his artificial legs on, but with no blood on the front of his body.

Another image shows a large tattoo on the accused's back, and his upper arm smeared with blood.

We were warned yesterday that some of Mr Van Rensburg's evidence would deal with graphic photos.

He tells the court they picked up a wood panel on the floor, and found human tissue, "in my opinion from the head".

A picture of the toilet in the bathroom is also shown streaked with blood.

There are blank screens in court as they look at pictures of Reeva's body. Pistorius shields his eyes just in case.
