I don't know if the comment at American Thinker is true or not, but I would'nt be surprised I'd it were true. Look at all the proven information discovered and the media won't touch it. Why? There seems to be an invisible wall of silence. Another interesting comment at LEOAFFAIRS.com, the site that lead to the MDSPD FOIA information.

The Aftermath of the George Zimmerman Case, Part 2: The role of the media, the lawyers and the racial divide
The media story
From the beginning, the national media was informed of the case primarily from the vantage point of Martin's family and their supporters. Trayvon's parents were terribly upset that Zimmerman was not detained and charged after having originally been taken into custody for questioning. They were unhappy over the refusal to immediately charge Zimmerman with killing their son. They never accepted that self-defense was justified since their son was unarmed and Zimmerman was carrying a gun. This is something they have held onto from the night he was shot, through the trial, and probably will for the rest of their lives. Having sat through the trial they must at some level know that Trayvon was shot after their son administered a severe beating to Zimmerman. Or perhaps they truly believe it was their son screaming for help but it is hard to see how an objective observer could rationally believe the cries for help were not coming from Zimmerman given the evidence presented at the trial.
The feeding frenzy has begun. It will likely be a short-lived frenzy–the real meat of racial grievance mongering is absent and can’t reasonably be sustained, after all–but media vultures are circling about and descending upon the carcass of the Shellie Zimmerman perjury case. As regular readers know, that case was settled this week with a plea bargain. In exchange for a guilty plea to a misdemeanor–not the felony for which the prosecution hungered–Shellie Zimmerman will serve a year of probation and the case will be dismissed as though it never happened. She will have no record.
Each year, I teach a media unit, and during that unit, I play a video I made. The video has two versions of the same interview. In the first, a student quizzes a principal about a supposed school uniform policy. It’s completely innocuous, and what the principal said is presented whole, without editing. Then, I present an NBC-type interview, appropriately (actually, inappropriately) edited. While the principal’s words are his own, suddenly, he’s confessing to strangling Winnie the Pooh, stepping on baby ducks, torturing students for fun, and a variety of other evils.
...

The Mysteries of The Richard Conner Proffer Hearing Discussed…… Posted on September 4, 2013 by sundance
[...] During the George Zimmerman trial, there was a “proffer hearing” for evidenciary issues about the content of Trayvon Martin’s telephone. Most, if not all, of the substantive issues were never discussed by the media. Instead they clouded their reporting by focusing on Judge Debra Nelson walking out of the courtroom at 10:30pm; but the substance of the Richard Conner testimony did not evaporate with her running away from it.
In addition to discovering that Trayvon Martin’s father, Tracy, was texting him about guns and ownership, there were issues about the deleted phone content itself. These deletions were never addressed, and the issues behind them could shake the foundation of the prosecution.
If you will watch the video, and watch e.x.a.c.t.l.y. what Conner says, with specificity, you will note he is actually confirming – and stating – without actually confirming and stating, the phone records were deleted by hardware function.
GEORGE ZIMMERMAN TRIAL RICHARD CONNOR 7.9.13 Pt.24
GEORGE ZIMMERMAN TRIAL TRAYVON TEXT MESSAGES 7.9.13 Pt.25
[...] So we have TWO distinct larger issues: #1. Who deleted the data from the phone itself? Also, when did they do it? #2. Why did the State hide the deleted data from the defense team after they recovered it through the use of extraction software? Also, who made that decision?
Wow, Rumpole, thanks. I hope we eventually learn this info... but I don't have a lot of confidence the defense, or GZ himself, intend to go after this issue.

No. This stuff is interesting.... LOVE to see it pursued.... but I just don't see it happening
The only glimmer(s) of hope is perhaps the ongoing legal actions that are SUPPOSED to be done. BDLR sanctions: But If that goes ahead I imagine Nelson would shut down discussion that got into details.
Kruidbos Suit: I guess there is a chance that this can of worms will be opened?

The absolute best chance for it being pursued in depth and disclosed publicly, imo, would be in a civil suit filed by GZ against the state. It would be highly relevant and admissible.
Kruidbos' suit isn't really about what the state did to GZ as much as it is about what they did to him for alerting the defense. IIRC, Kruidbos didn't find this info, and/or didn't alert the defense about it. Even so, I don't see how getting to the bottom of it would further his case, kwim?
I agree with you that Nelson will shut down any of that type of info in the sanctions hearing. I also don't recall anything similar being alleged in the pleadings, so even if they try to bring it up, she'd claim it wasn't pled. Kind of like that 3rd degree murder charge the state tried to tack on at the absolute last possible moment - if the other side isn't alerted in advance, it's not supposed to be heard. I can almost hear her already - "Assuming all of these allegations you want to make are true, how did whatever you want to claim prejudice the defense?" I don't see MOM spending a lot of time/resources pursuing it because I don't see it really adding much in the way of damages. Either the state hid discovery or they didn't, adding "one" more incident isn't going to increase the damages.
In the words of seeing_eye, I hope I'm wrong. I hope the defense knows about this. I hope they have enough respect for the law, the public, and basic right/wrong to pursue it in depth and to at least make it public, even if they can't get any legal satisfaction.

As I said... this is an interesting avenue to look at... but as yet NOTHING (sneaky phone deletes) is proven to have happened.
And even if phone deletion is shown to have happened... that is still a long way from laying charges.... hearing excuses etc.. I doubt this will go anywhere.

George Zimmerman Need for Speed Gets Him Busted Again
George Zimmerman's got a real issue with guns ... radar guns -- 'cause he got pulled over for allegedly speeding for the second time in just over a month ... Tuesday in Florida.
Zimmerman was busted in his Honda Ridgeline doing 60 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to cops in Lake Mary, FL ... outside Orlando -- who released video of the pullover.
Zimmerman was also pulled over for speeding in Texas on July 28. During that traffic stop he told the officer he had a weapon in his truck.
He did not mention having a gun during this latest stop.
Zimmerman got off with a warning in Texas. No such luck this time ... his ticket lists the fine as $256.
Yeah, he should stop doing that. I understand he must be afraid every time he is out like that, but this just brings more attention to him; keeps the story alive.

I agree - big deal. I don't understand how it's "news" or even interesting gossip, kwim? It's like the media and Trayborg™ (but I repeat myself) are desperate to catch GZ doing something, anything, wrong/illegal. Somehow that vindicates their persecution of GZ and his family, in their delusional minds, I suppose. Cos, you know anyone who would speed would not hesitate to stalk and murder a black teen, right? Cos everyone who goes over the limit does the same thing.
It did occur to me to wonder if this was a feint - GZ deliberately gets caught in FL so his would-be murderers look there instead of elsewhere. I hope so.

Do you know what the big deal is for me in this story? It is proof that the whole BS about the Kel Tec plant was either old or fake. Well I mean maybe George did lose 75 lbs in 6 weeks then put it all back on again a week later, but I will go with the fact that it was BS.
