This case sucks, why do they continue to show only pictures of trayvon that are several years old, the jury should see his grill and tattoos and tweets, no_limit seemed proud of his thug image. Why did the media photoshop trayvon's hoodie photo and lighten his skin, is the media afraid a darker trayvon is threatening, are the real racists in this whole thing the liberal fruitcakes who pretend tm is this angelic little innocent?

Didn't care for O'Mara at the beginning but once the trial started he was impressive, Bernie the trayvon groupies hero turned out to be a flop. That other prosecutor that was doing the dummy demonstration looked like he was getting excited while straddling the thing.

MOM did send back at least a couple of proper pics of TM with jury...

The "profile" pic and a still from 7-11

I am sorry to keep referencing the Anthony trial, but it's one that many are familiar with. The jurors went back to their hotel one night, came in "dressed up" the next morning and basically rendered their verdict.

May have nothing to do with early adjournment here. Maybe they were just hungry. We'll see in the morning. :)

My thinking is that it was an emotionally draining day and now the reality has really hit them that a man's freedom and two families will be forever affected by their decision. I'm sure they need some time to de-stress and come back fresh in the morning with clear minds.

Who was that rotund sweathog with the Rodney Dangerfield bulging eyeballs sitting behind the defense?

No...it'll take quite some time.

I don't think I'll sleep well also. Image

Regarding breaking early: I wouldn't like to speculate, but it would seem to me they wanted to double check to see if there was anything in the evidence they missed and are ready to render a verdict first thing. But Juries are unpredictable..everything from deeply divided to B29 is holding out in a 5-1 vote have been thrown around. We'll see tomorrow.

You sure about that?

In Arias case... there was talk of her going to prison after sentence, ahead of sentencing... I know in that case she was already in custody... but I would not be surprised if GZ was locked up pending sentence hearing.

If it ever came to that.

No one can be sure until it happens, of course. Hopefully, we'll never know the answer.

But remember, as MOM put it, he and West are not young public defenders. They know what to do and will use every available method to keep GZ out of jail (where people go first), much less prison.

It seems to me that virtually every legal mind that I've seen/heard opine on the case (including Chip! ;) ) agree there's plenty of grounds for appeal and any conviction will almost certainly be overturned. I'd say GZ's odds look a lot better than most people in his position. Of course, we all hope most people in his position actually committed the crime of which they're accused, and that certainly isn't true in this case.

It's a little late for that.

This case blows my mind. It's about SO MUCH more than what's on the surface, which I know you all know.
Know the crunt Judge-she's from here and been against her when she was a prosecutor in Broward (or Broweird as we call it); unfortunately also know Miami Gardens Thugs too (defend lots of them).

Just wanted to see if I can post now.

Shalom and Thanks!

I kept getting the feeling that I've seen or read about her before this case. How long ago did she leave the area?

Cya soon, Chip! Ya' know, you can post here even when court is in recess... and... um... even about things other than the GZ case. :)

In fact, I was kinda hoping you might write up a blog post about a topic that interests you. :)

In fact, there are a lot of posters here that could write some very interesting stuff... hint, hint. ;) Please don't make me call you out one by one and get in trouble for being :OT over and over. That trout is starting to smell funny...

Crump on with Ryan Smith just now...the saving grace for me is when this is finally all over, I never have to see him again on my TV.

Saw a blip of Sybrinia chewing her gum rapidly in court...why do I find that so annoying?

You find it annoying because it's so rude, especially in court. It's just plain disrespectful. OTOH, rapidly sounds like she wasn't happy, kwim? ;)

Gosh, I hope no one invites Crump back on their shows after this. Seriously... wow... You'd think he could afford some speech therapy or something. Apparently he's fine with being in our tickle it. And evil.

There are a whole bunch of clips..... a long interview chopped into several 3 minute bits... did you miss the others?

Two questions before I answer:

    1. Am I under oath?
    2. Since I am in Florida, do FL rules/laws apply, or Rumpole's rules?

So it wasn't an autopsy photo when TM's Mother and the rest left the court room it was just more shenanigans.

It really concerns me too. Image I really hoped they would follow MOM's suggestion to start at a Not Guilty vote to see if they even needed to deliberate...

The whole Prosecution case proves reasonable doubt, so I don't know what's taking so long. :95

Hi, Maltese Mama! :86

Think about it - if you were on this jury, and you had taken an oath, and MOM asked you to go through the evidence, and you had been looking at (so to speak) TM™'s family for a month, would you feel good about delivering a verdict within minutes of being charged?

So far, I'm ok. Again, I'm still hopeful they're coming back in the morning to acquit, after packing and cleaning up. Remember in the Anthony case they did that; went home, came back in the morning "dressed up"?

I must be honest and admit I'm concerned. I expected a not guilty by tonight. I don't like they needed to see the evidence and ended deliberating so early. What are they questioning, I thought it was a no brainer, now talking heads are saying manslaughter. That would be just as bad for George. I hate the fact the race baiters will be jumping for joy and I know in my heart George is innocent. I can't imagine what the whole Zimmerman family is going through.

I think the jury not knowing all they needed to know about who Trayvon was, leaves the defense at a huge disadvantage. At first, I hoped the jury might have gotten some bits before being selected. I also thought they might figure it out through association with RJ. Now I'm wondering if I got it wrong. Suppose the jury felt sorry for her. What if they think Trayvon was mentally challenged and believe he was really a scared child?

Sorry for venting, this has been so draining. I suppose after hearing the Anthony verdict, you never know, there is no guarantee. The only thing left now is prayers for George.
