Yes. BREXIT happens next Friday 31 January at 11:00 pm

There is a "Transition Period" to Dec 31 this year. To work out the final "trade deal" between UK and EU.
I was worried that that would be extended for 2 years more (as EU were stating) and that while that went on UK would NOT be able to do trade deals with other countries (like USA), but all my worries have been "fixed".
UK is close to a Deal with Japan (better than the deal EU has with Japan) and other countries in the works (including USA)
Also there is NO EXTENSION allowed.. already written in the treaty now.
If no deal by 31 December.. then it still means LEAVE (on WTO terms)

As a child (in UK) and later as a teen and older in Australia and NZ, I was aware of all the Shenanigans leading up to UK joining the EEC (a Trading block only... they said)... actually being Vetoed by France's Charles DeGaulle. The "Trade block" was set up to compete with UK... subsidize inefficient French farmers was a big part of it. Once De Gaulle died... UK got in, but it meant shafting Commonwealth countries like NZ and Australia... particularly NZ whose economy was based on being a farm for UK market (especially during the war). To be fair, UK did negotiate a "transition period" for NZ to diversify it's economy, but "times were tough" for the NZ economy. We survived, obviously, but it left a bad taste to have been shafted by some European Countries, that NZ had helped save in WW2. The rest is history as they say.... The EU clearly has globalist delusions of grandeur now... Parliaments in Brussels and Strasbourg, a European Court of justice and soon an army etc.
I was pleasantly surprised that UK BREXIT managed to win the Referendum... I don't think it would have happened if they had delayed much longer... the Leftist/globalist force is STRONG in UK. Thank heavens they have managed to get a foot out at least... I have hope that Boris will make it a real and proper BREXIT.

Ken Clarke and Philip Hammond to get peerages

Nominated by Boris
It looks like two staunch pro-EU, anti-Brexiteer former Tory MPs are set to get elevated to the House of Lords.
Both were ejected from Tory party last year

It’s official: U.K. won’t require an extension of Brexit talks, even as negotiations with EU hit gridlock
Published: June 12, 2020 at 1:15 p.m. ET
By Archie Mitchell

Johnson government confirms Friday that it will not extend negotiations with the European Union past December

The U.K. reiterated Friday, two weeks before the expiration of a deadline upon which it had to make its intentions clear, that it would not seek an extension of the current “extension period” that binds the country to the European Union until Dec. 31.

“We have informed the EU today that we will not extend the transition period,” U.K. Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove tweeted. “The moment for extension has now passed.”
