Initial reports of "a church shooting" seem to be inaccurate... it's near a church, but not related to the church.....

Seven people have reportedly been shot near Perkins Square Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. The victims' condition is unknown.

Images posted on social media indicate a massive police presence near the Perkins Square Baptist Church in Baltimore, with a nearby street taped off following what is believed to be a mass shooting. Police have confirmed one of the seven victims have died, according to Fox Baltimore. No motive has been named so far.

UPDATE: Baltimore shooting NOT connected to the Church. 7 people shot in front of the church, including 1 fatally. A male suspect is on the run.

This happens weekly in #Baltimore , just like Chicago. This is pushed into national news to bring up gun laws. Again. To distract.

Witnesses said the gunman was in a car that pulled up alongside the cookout and opened fire.
(Just the usual Sunday drive-by shooting in Baltimore)

Since it’s a black on black crime..... Meh!

Yeah.... I see tweets calling for gun control... and it's the fascist Trump regime's fault etc.

I even saw a black guy (racist) speaking (LYING) to camera saying the cops caught the perp who was "Caucasian"... white supremacist stuff... must be!

Truth is..... I now see the perp reported as BLACK, and I assume at least some of the victims were black? (just a guess)

BALTIMORE (AP) — A gunman fired indiscriminately into a crowd that had gathered for cookouts on a street in Baltimore, wounding seven people including one of them fatally on Sunday, the city’s police commissioner said.

Authorities said the shooting happened around 5 p.m. on a block in the city’s western district.

Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said a black male approached a crowd on foot and began firing in what he called “a very tragic, very cowardly shooting.”

Speaking at the scene, Harrison said the shooting appeared to be “extremely targeted” but he did not immediately elaborate on a possible motive.

There could have been a second shooter... guy firing back at main perp. This looks like a personal (or gang) beef to me.

The adult man who died ran behind a nearby church and collapsed
For all I know the dead person, located at back of Church could have been the original "perp" who got shot as he ran away? Just a theory.

An extra victim ... that makes 7 wounded plus 1 dead (8 total)

Police initially reported seven people had been shot, but confirmed that an eighth victim was reported when that person walked into a local hospital with a bullet wound to the leg.


I would NOT be surprised to learn the "perp" is one of the wounded... or the dead guy.... still just guessing

A police statement later said a man was killed, but didn't give his age. It said five of the survivors were men ranging in ages from 27 to 58, as well as a 30-year-old woman.

A police spokeswoman later Sunday evening was cited by The Baltimore Sun as saying an eighth victim, a man with a gunshot wound to the leg, went to a hospital. The report did not elaborate.
