One person has died and another man, who police said was a private security guard, is in custody after a shooting during dueling protests Saturday in downtown Denver. 9News reported that one of their employees and a contractor for the television station have been taken into custody, and that the station has “not been in contact with either and does not know where either currently is.” Police initially said two people were taken into custody but later said one of them was not involved in the incident. Family members identified Keltner, 49, as the man fatally shot during dueling protests Saturday in downtown Denver. Police on Sunday identified a 30-year-old man as the suspect and confirmed he was working as a private security guard at the time and not participating in the protest. But city officials don’t believe shooting suspect Matthew Robert Dolloff was licensed to work as an armed private security guard in Denver. Defendant Matthew Dolloff appears in virtual court this morning  Dolloff, the suspected shooter, did not have city license needed to work as private security in Denver. Denver rules also mandate extra training and licensing for security guards to carry guns and dress in plainclothes. |
