USA has risen to MOST cases of all Countries More than Italy now, and even more than CHINA (if you can believe) IF you look at number per capita (cases per 1Million Population) USA not so bad at 248, but CHINA even win there with only 56 cases per 1M population. Dr Bloomfield earlier said the man had underlying health conditions and was doing OK before taking a turn in the last 24 hours. 37 recovered Dr Bloomfield says those who have recovered from Covid-19 are signed off by a health official after being symptom free for a 14 day period. |

UK.... Prime Minister Boris Johnson tests positive Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus and is self-isolating in Downing Street. He said he had experienced mild symptoms over the past 24 hours, including a temperature and cough, but would continue to lead the government. Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he had also tested positive while England's Chief Medical Officer, Prof Chris Whitty, has shown symptoms. |

Air New Zealand confirms eight staff test positive for COVID-19 An airline spokesperson said on Saturday the staff had all worked on the long-haul fleet to either LA or London. The spokesperson said one of the eight staff members has recovered from the virus. In an email sent to staff on Friday afternoon and shared with Newshub, the airline confirmed it was aware of "confirmed cases" within the Air NZ workforce. Air NZ said it was working to identify any staff members who may have been in close contact with the new cases which would take up to 48 hours. Around 1 to 2 percent of cases are community tranmission and this number is expected to increase. 14 "significant clusters"... 9 more than yesterday There are 14 people currently in hospital with Covid-19, two in intensive care who are stable. New cases - 647 currently. 1391 tests found the 58 new cases overnight. There have been 21,384 tests have been conducted in total. Do the Math... 647/21384 ===> 3% of tests result positive. Community transmission is around 1 percent. Total confirmed cases of 708. Fourteen people are in hospital, two are in intensive care but are stable. Recovered 82 ------------------- Clusters There are now 50 cases of Covid-19 linked to Auckland's Marist College, according to the Ministry of Health's website. The number of cases connected to the Redoubt bar in Matamata has risen by 9 to 32. 27 people who attended the World Hereford Conference in Queenstown have now tested positive for Covid-19, an increase of 3. And 22 people who were at a wedding in Bluff have now tested positive for the disease - an increase of 14 cases. The number of clusters on the Ministry of Health's website has now dropped from 14 to 7. It says it is now classifying clusters as having more than 10 cases. Total cases for the 4 clusters described is 131 ------------------- Jacinda testing....Ardern said 2093 tests had been done today. So new total... 21,384 + 2093 = 23,477 |
