Police say they 'will not tolerate hate speech' after violence flares at Tommy Robinson event in Oldham

Police say 'speech or actions that are full of hate' will not be tolerated, after violence flared between rival groups at an election campaign event organised by Tommy Robinson in Oldham.

Police cars were smashed by flying objects and bricks and eggs were thrown.

As hundreds of people gathered to see the English Defence League founder in the Limeside area of the town on Saturday night, there was an organised 'counter demonstration' by a group calling itself the Muslim Defence League.

Tensions flared on residential roads around Seventh Avenue.

The force has now released a new statement to explain why they allowed the event to go ahead, and say that while everyone has the right to free speech, they will not tolerate hate.

Naturally the Left might well be LESS in favor when their guys (and gals) get a dose.

It seems that many people would not understand a PRINCIPLE if it was liquefied and poured over them.
IF milkshake is OK...then it's accepting that clean-up cost imposed is OK... could be just laundry, but maybe more substantial cost of dry-cleaning.. or even replacement suits/outfits etc if fabric does NOT take kindly to dousing in milk (and colorings).
And if milkshake is OK... then so are other liquids... with "food coloring" to add a "political" statement....... say paint (water based)... not much different. I can easily imagine attacks using "paint-ball guns". And why stop there... if the intent (as stated) is to "humiliate" undesirable people... then maybe dye or something that will stain the person's skin/clothing. Why not BLEACH? Why not ACID. What better way to humiliate than scars that will be apparent for ever? And so it goes.

Members of hasidic and Sefardic communities urge community to 'do right thing for ourselves - and for country to which we owe so much.'

A group of British Orthodox Jews including members of the Sefardic and hassidic communities has mobilized in a mass outreach campaign to support independent EU Parliament candidate Tommy Robinson.

Thousands of flyers were distributed throughout Manchester today calling on "our fellow Orthodox Jews" to vote for Robinson in the May 23 elections, calling Robinson "a staunch friend of our people".

Apart from one small part of Scotland, all the results are expected between 10pm on Sunday 26 May and about 2.30am on the Bank Holiday Monday.

The first projection for the European Parliament as a whole is expected shortly after 10pm UK time.
