EU elections updates: Day one of voting is over as polls close in the Netherlands and UK
By Sandrine Amiel & Emma Beswick
23/05/2019

Polls have now closed in the Netherlands and the UK — the first two countries to vote in the European Parliamentary elections.

Ipsos final exit poll seat projections for the Netherlands put the centre-left PvdA-S&D in the lead with five seats (up two on 2014), with centre-right CDA-EPP and liberal VVD-ALDE in joint second position with four seats each.

Due to UK law, there are no exit polls available for the country.

EU nationals residing in the UK complained that they were "denied a vote" after they were turned away from polling stations, as the EU elections began in two of 28 EU countries.

It is the first of four days of elections to the EU parliament that will guide Brussels policy for the next five years.

Other EU nations will hold their votes between Friday and Sunday, with results announced on Sunday evening once all EU nations have voted.

Take a look at our blog below for the latest:

NOTE
Ireland and the Czech Republic go to the polls on Friday while Latvia, Malta and Slovakia vote on Saturday.
The remaining EU member states will vote on Sunday.

Seems the Dutch are NOT as Daft as the UK... They have Exit Polls... :roll

Timmermans’ Labor wins Dutch EU election: Exit poll

Party of center-left candidate for Commission chief on course for five seats in European Parliament.

Exitpoll Ipsos: PvdA largest with highest turnout in thirty years
Yesterday, 9:00 PM

Image

TURNOUT
The turnout seems surprisingly high at over 41 percent. It would be the highest turnout in European elections since 1989. In 2014 the turnout was 37.3 percent, in 1999 a low was reached with 30.0 percent. In 1989 the turnout was 47.5 percent.

Left may have got "most" seats.... but taking 5 seats (out of 26) does NOT seem like much of an achievement to me :roll

It would NOT surprise me if Jessica's report is against the UK rules?

How disappointing.... but typical... yer average citizen (in all countries) is as thick as pig shite. :doh
They don't DESERVE Tommy.. but I still hope he wins. :)

The good news is..... this crop of idiots did not vote!! (mostly).
The bad news is.... 90% of the people who did vote were likely just as stupid and uninformed, or worse MIS-informed by MSM

BBC predictions by Region

Mostly fluff.. no actual NUMBERS predicted.. and Tommy Robinson is not even mentioned in North West... typical BBC Fakenews. :roll

A last minute poll.. Survation yesterday

Image
https://twitter.com/britainelects/statu ... 0332348418

Data (Excel spreadsheet)
https://www.survation.com/wp-content/up ... .5.19.xlsx

Does NOT separate out TR. The "Other" category does NOT look good at 1% ( 2 people in 189 sample) for North West :(

Reality Check...

I have been "biting my tongue" during Tommy's campaign... as you do.. for the sake of "Morale" and the enthusiasm needed to attract support (and votes), and even now I DO NOT want to be a "Debbie Downer" so I WONT post my prediction on Bitchute comments etc but....
I DO NOT THINK that Tommy will win a seat :(
I KNOW polls have been inaccurate and have even been INTENTIONALLY false, but Tommy gaining 8 or 9% when data from several separate polls shows only 1% (or less) seems unlikely. Jessica Swietoniowski's interviews of "average citizens" confirms my worst fears. A VERY limited sample for sure, but not even a glimmer of hope that you can "trust the voters" :roll

PS
UKIP wont win a seat anywhere either.

I Hope I am WRONG

FWIW...
Ezra offers SOME HOPE... a private email from a person who is part of the Vote Counters in the North West.
He/she is claiming Tommy is 7th in the count. (There are 8 seats up for grabs).
CAUTION: The counter would be talking about just one small district. It may or may not hold true across the entire North West.

LIVE starting 9pm GMT: EU election special Ezra, Jessica & Tommy Robinson
Rebel Media
Scheduled for May 26, 2019

Tommy appeared with Ezra and Jessica..

He was REALISTIC about his chances ( as I have been).

It made sense to be positive while the Campaign was active... but really Tommy was shut out of media etc. Even the Royal Mail workers have boasted about NOT delivering Tommy's Campaign leaflets etc. :roll

Image

Tommy (and Jessica) are headed to the Counting center.

Cassandra Fairbanks Tweeting that Tommy has NOT won a seat....

I can not see confirmation of a result announced

-------------
Jessica reports... Tommy got just below 40,000 votes.... so definitely not a winner.

Jessica reporting (press) people "snickering". They truly hate Tommy and take pleasure in his loss.

40K votes would be about 2%... which is about what I predicted based on poll data details. :cool

I see mention that Tommy got 36,000 votes (largest vote ever for an Independent) :cool
TBC: Actually Tommy got 38 908 votes (2.24%) (according to Wikepedia)

MEDIA SPIN (as I predicted).. "This election result supports REMAIN" :roll

Image
https://twitter.com/EuropeElects/status ... 6189683712

And so we have Corbyn (and others) still banging on about a SECOND REFERENDUM...
"This issue will have to go back to the people", says Corbyn
'overwhelming' case now for a people's vote", says Green party
The conservatives in Parliament threatening to block a "Hard Brexit"
... and so the dance continues. :doh

Farage UK, LibDems (and Greens) are the voters choice...

Let that sink in :eek

As the saying goes.. the people get the government they deserve!!

The UK is DOOMED

Theresa May stuffed up Brexit and gained this "extension" to get on with it... URGENTLY!!
And what is the UK doing in the limited time before the NEXT DEADLINE? (October 30)... Pissing about with pointless MEP elections and agonizing over electing a new Tory leader!! :doh
NONE of this is "getting on with Brexit" :roll

Tommy was "robbed". Lied about and censored. But the result was apparent from poll data (such as it was). around 1% (maybe 2%), so I think it was a matter of Tommy's message simply being cut off from the people (rather than vote tampering). However, the "facts" were available if people were actively looking... but they were not. "The people get the government they deserve" I despair at the state of UK political and media control and suppression. I don't think things are going to get any better. The Farage Party win "sends a message" but that was already sent before 2016.. and nothing has improved. I don't see sacking May and releasing the Boris will change much.

Voting for Farage Party (Brexit Party) "sends a message".... :roll
Yeah but it is exactly the same message as voting for Farage Party (UKIP) sent in 2014.
And FIVE YEARS ON nothing is achieved. :doh
