Yeah. :)

I didn't like her from the start.. and I honestly had no idea she was "mixed race" :)

I dislike her for the "attitude" Hypocrisy, and SJW lunacy.

I thought Harry was OK before he got tangled up with her... but she has dragged Harry down with herself.

I'd be happy if they did both retire from Royal Duties (and funded themselves)

The Queen has been OK... I don't like the alternative of some elected head of State

FOR REFERENCE... Consideration of amendments

Quote:
Each House considers the other’s amendments

When a Bill has passed through third reading in both Houses it is returned to the first House (where it started) for the second House's amendments (proposals for change) to be considered.

Both Houses must agree on the exact wording of the Bill.

There is no set time period between the third reading of a Bill and consideration of any Commons or Lords amendments.

'Ping Pong'
If the Commons makes amendments to the Bill, the Lords must consider them and either agree or disagree to the amendments or make alternative proposals.

If the Lords disagrees with any Commons amendments, or makes alternative proposals, then the Bill is sent back to the Commons.

A Bill may go back and forth between each House (‘Ping Pong’) until both Houses reach agreement.

What happens after consideration of amendments?
Once the Commons and Lords agree on the final version of the Bill, it can receive Royal Assent and become an Act of Parliament (the proposals of the Bill now become law).

In exceptional cases, when the two Houses do not reach agreement, the Bill falls. If certain conditions are met, the Commons can use the Parliament Acts to pass the Bill, without the consent of the Lords, in the following session.

Duke and Duchess who? The Queen refers to 'Harry and Meghan' in Sandringham statement in a hint they WILL lose their HRH titles

Royals held summit at Sandringham House today to thrash out a Sussex solution
In a statement, the Queen, 93, said the discussions were 'very constructive'
But some noticed monarch had dropped the royal couple's titles from statement
Did not call Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, 'The Duke and Duchess'
Instead the Queen referred to the couple simply as 'Harry and Meghan'
Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter called the move 'very striking'

The Queen has dropped Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal titles from a statement about the couple's future in The Firm in a move one commentator said was 'very striking'.

Her Majesty, 93, released a statement following the royal summit at Sandringham House today and, in a break from tradition, referred to Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, by their first names rather than their titles as 'The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.'

Some fans said it indicated the couple could be stripped of their royal positions, in a move that would send shockwaves through the royal family.

Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter said the move was likely to be telling, posting on Twitter: 'I do think it was very striking, particularly in a statement from the Queen.'

Meanwhile another royal fan commented: 'Interesting the Queen refers to 'Harry and Meghan' not the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

'Are they having to give up their titles? This would be an indication they are...'

Steve Bannon's take on "Megxit".

He delcares "The Hewitts" to be the new Clintons.

I think he's correct.

Ex-Speaker John Bercow nominated for a peerage by Jeremy Corbyn after Boris Johnson blocked him

Image

Bercow was a TORY MP...

though hard to tell in the end.
It's a farce that Labour nominates a Tory.....To enter The House of Lords as part of the Labour whip is a travesty... he may pretend to be "an Independent" but clearly he is not.

Brexit bill passes parliament as Johnson overturns Lords amendments

Opposition MPs condemn government after defeat of Dubs measure on child refugees

Boris Johnson’s Brexit bill has cleared its last hurdle after the government overturned five House of Lords amendments to it, including one that would have restored the right of unaccompanied child refugees to be reunited with their families in the UK.

The legislation is expected to gain royal assent within days after peers agreed to end the parliamentary “ping-pong” phase where it moves between the two houses until agreement is reached.

While the passage of the withdrawal agreement bill (Wab), which puts the deal into legislation, became a formality after Johnson won a significant majority in December’s election, it is nonetheless a symbolically significant moment after Theresa May’s plan was rejected by MPs three times.

In a brief comment calling for an end to “rancour and division”, Johnson said: “At times it felt like we would never cross the Brexit finish line, but we’ve done it.”

There was, however, some final controversy, as opposition MPs condemned the government for ordering Conservative MPs to oppose an amendment drafted by Alf Dubs, the Labour peer and former child refugee, guaranteeing family reunion rights. Lord Dubs called the move “bitterly disappointing”.

The amendment, passed in the Lords on Tuesday, was rejected in the Commons by 342 votes to 254. All those who voted against were Conservatives.

THE SUN SAYS John Bercow’s peerage must be blocked and if he’s found guilty of alleged bullying his seat should be stripped
The Sun
22 Jan 2020

JOHN Bercow’s peerage must now be halted.

The Lords has too many reprobates and failures already. And the ex-Speaker faces two fresh bullying allegations.

If he’s found guilty, the Lords Appointments Commission must strip him of the seat the witless Corbyn gave him.

Previous probes into Bercow’s conduct were blocked — and Labour MPs disgracefully kept him in office solely to help thwart Brexit.

He failed there too, and now there is no hiding place.

As David Leakey, former Black Rod, says: “If Bercow is elevated to the Lords it would be a scandal Parliament would struggle to live down.” Quite.

But it holds true too for other Corbyn nominees.

The vile Tom Watson, who destroyed lives spreading a paedo’s lies, then lobbied the CPS to chase a false rape claim about Lord Brittan as he fought cancer.

And Corbyn aide Karie Murphy, whose role in Labour’s anti-Semitism scandal is being probed by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

How are any of them fit for the Lords? And why did Corbyn nominate them . . .

Except as a petulant one-fingered salute to the Leave voters who ditched Labour?
