From previous matters..... sanctions and inquiry

Kathi Belich, WFTV

Defense witness says the Duval state attorney's IT director who is his client provided the information. (1/2)

The IT director said prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda was involved--he is special prosecutor from Duval County.

"The court has provided both parties a lot of hearing time"... just ignore that canceled date in which I didn't give a reason.

For heavens sake... she is not hiding the fact she is READING a pre-written ruling... why bother with a hearing?

Nelson is re-hashing her asinine continuance denial decision. Clearly she's going to deny continuance.

O'Mara *again* points out that the defense NEVER told the court that the defense would absolutely be ready for trial in June.

This is beyond travesty of justice; this is intentional, malicious, and criminal.

IANAL, but isn't this denial of a fair trial if the Defense has said they are not ready for trial?

So, when Nelson reads pre-prepared decisions, are those the ones written by DOJ-CRS? It's obvious that he couldn't care less about arguments from either side. Why waste their time and money by holding a docket sounding?

Sadly, I don't think any of this nonsense constitutes grounds for a Writ of Prohibition, since all of this BS can, technically, be remedied on appeal/new trial.

But clearly, Nelson has no business adjudicating the State's persecution of Zimmerman.

Two hours and done...why couldn't she hear defense witness regarding sanctions against state this afternoon? Give state time to cover up...

Why bother with a trial at all?

Nelson should just read her verdict now... probably GUILTY.

and BDLR given a commendation :85

Ugh I finally got to see some of it and I'm wondering about a fair trial too although I agree some it may be considered in an appeal. The van idea for a jury view seemed good to me and although they can't replicate it entirely they can show enough to give an idea. Why not give a continuance since it appears that discovery was not complete on the part of the state and those jury questions are crucial so her stance on that is discouraging to me.

Thanks for all the updates here.

I'm guessing the hearing didn't go well? I was up and watching the whole thing on live stream, but with my mouth hanging open and drooling. Too sleepy to take much in. I hope to find out here what happened. Is anything about TM's past coming into the trial? OMG Crump is uggly from the back too.

Nelson missed the point.

The field trip is NOT meant to recreate the entire event... but rather to give jurors an idea of geography.. distances etc.

We have seen how that can be distorted in videos... such as the ones LIMPapa makes.... it really would help (IMO) to let the jury see the place where it all took place.
