Thanks all,
I like where you guys are going, it helps to narrow and pick wording. I agree that there should be some form of SYG question for certain. I will also look at the others 5,9,10,13 to clarify them.

I got my IRB approval for my research today so I will be working on this in the next few days between catch-up in other classes.

I am still confused as to why the msm portrays this as a STG case when it is a SD case, so perhaps a question on whether people know what these laws are about?

I know what you mean. Today in class 95% of them thought SYG was involved in the case. The discussion occurred as I added the SYG question to the end of the survey (hat tip to Rumpole). I also cleaned up the other questions by removing one or two and rewording some areas. I will be posting the revised survey when I get it back from my professor this afternoon hopefully.

Yahoo Link

This surprised me. Comments show that people were paying attention to the trial despite the despicable way it was presented all those months before and during the trial. Majority are positive comments...out of 1700.

I was reading one on msn.com about that as well today, just before I headed into class. When I arrived back at my house and tried to find the article to continue reading the comments (I would say that 90-95% were against Tmom) and all of a sudden there were no comments for the article...odd huh?
Now this evening I have been searching for the comments thread for that article and coming up with nothing...

found it :) now it is up to 31 pages of comments. for some odd reason when I used internet explorer it would not come up, but when I shifted to Firefox it came up relatively fast.

Here the rough survey data is. I still have to run a few t-tests and other things to deal the null. Question 36 has to be ditched since the ranges were intended to be 3 and under feet, 4-6 ect. (might have been a miscommunication on my part with the grad student that was entering the survey) The population changed as well, with my illness I did not have the time to interview as I intended and was forced to move into using college students through a survey.

Keep in mind these are college students
The first question that was cut off in the first link is: In general how closely do you follow national news?

I was surprised that you had such a good pool of respondents. I can hardly wait to see or hear how you are progressing on your paper.

Sorry it took a while to get back at you. :rose

Sorry about the really slow reply.. I have just finished my last class and graduate this weekend. I had to ask for a extension on this paper/project since it was my final so I could finish all of the other stuff from the semester. I have finals next week and the actual paper should be done by the Monday after.

I ended up being too sick for a while to do the planned interviews so I was forced to shift to a online survey.

This is the first draft of the survey paper. Look it over and let me know what you think can be modified or improved on. Just click on the link http://guywitharod.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/gz-capstone-paper.docx
