Some guy - like the yellow sweatband, white wife-beater t-shirt gets in a cops' face like that in Texas, he's gonna get arrested.

Something is wrong with whoever is running this police department.

NO ONE should have to endure this. I really feel for these officers. :(

When I was a boy... their were laws about offensive language... free speech notwithstanding... it does not give people the right to be offensive and threatening, especially towards cops.

Rampant rioting.. and smashing widows.. cops marching up the street but savages smashing stuff ahead of them.. some arrests... the Cops reclaiming the street.. but cops should NEVER have let the savages march down the street in first place

IMHO

There might (at a pinch) have been some justification for a PLANNED "protest march" starting 7:00 PM... it should have been CONFINED to the sidewalk IMO... but even though it wasn't, it fizzled out by 9:00 PM. Traffic was disrupted, but there was no damage or violence.

AFTER that (at least)... the cops should have taken control. The remaining savages were likely the more violent.. out for trouble rather than "protest" The cops should NEVER have let this (smaller) mob take over the streets and march back down to the main area of bars and entertainment etc. The cops had to eventually herd these savages back out.. and they did all the damage on their way out... they should not have been allowed in. The cops could have stopped them with same tactics, on the way in, rather on the way out.

Yes, this video replay is about an hour behind.

I can't get good SS like you. I forget to stop the video. :doh But at this point he only had a bandana around his neck and goggles hanging from his belt. ;)
