More importantly, Ciaramella has a long history with Obama NSC advisor Susan Rice and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Add that to the list of “witnesses” before Schiff ‘s Stassi East German secret police-style lack of intelligence committee. You have a succession of partisan Trump-haters with long pedigrees of either being Democrat operatives. Deep ties to Burisma holdings. Or active participants in the George Soros Open Societies Foundations.

For a town that leaks like a sieve, Washington has done an astonishingly effective job keeping from the American public the name of the anonymous “whistleblower" who triggered impeachment proceedings against President Trump — even though his identity is an open secret inside the Beltway.

More than two months after the official filed his complaint, pretty much all that’s known publicly about him is that he is a CIA analyst who at one point was detailed to the White House and is now back working at the CIA.

But the name of a government official fitting that description — Eric Ciaramella — has been raised privately in impeachment depositions, according to officials with direct knowledge of the proceedings, as well as in at least one open hearing held by a House committee not involved in the impeachment inquiry. Fearing their anonymous witness could be exposed, Democrats this week blocked Republicans from asking more questions about him and intend to redact his name from all deposition transcripts.

Eric Ciaramella Named in Impeachment Testimony

Eric Ciaramella, the alleged whistleblower of Donald Trump’s Ukraine phonecall, was mentioned in Ambassador William Taylor’s testimony. The testimony occurred on October 22, while the RealClearInvestigations article on Eric Ciaramella that was widely circulated by Republican figures was published on October 30. The transcript of the testimony, which occurred behind-closed-doors, was released Wednesday as part of the Democratic Party’s effort to make the impeachment inquiry more transparent.

During the testimony, House Oversight Committee investigator Steve Castor questioned Ambassador Taylor about the whistleblower report. Castor then asked, “Does a person by the name of Eric Ciaramella ring a bell for you?”

Taylor replied, “It doesn’t.” When asked if he “never had any communications with somebody by that name,” the ambassador said, “Correct.”

The exchange occurred on page 236 of Ambassador Taylor’s testimony transcript.

Eric Ciaramella was never mentioned again throughout the testimony. His name was not redacted in the testimony, which contradicts the RealClearInvestigations report on him.

Fearing their anonymous witness could be exposed, Democrats this week blocked Republicans from asking more questions about him and intend to redact his name from all deposition transcripts.

However, it is consistent with The Washington Post article that claims Republicans “have repeatedly raised the name of a person suspected of filing the whistleblower complaint.”

A "whistle-blower" at the very least, needs to be revealing stuff about the organization/department they work in.

Eric Ciaramella works for CIA... his info is NOT in regards to anything the CIA is doing..

It is in fact about Trump.. actually about CLASSIFIED conversation between POTUS and anther head of state. It is closer to SPYING and then LEAKING classified info. NOT protected as "whistle blower", in fact I would say a SERIOUS CRIME

It is just silly to attribute "impeachable crimes" to a harmless phone conversation. I am sure that past and present Presidents have said a LOT worse on the phone, and in face to face meetings with all sorts of people, including leaders of other countries

Former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch will testify at tomorrow’s impeachment hearing. Yovanovitch was relieved of her duties by Trump in May after what she characterized in closed-door sessions as a “smear campaign” against her by Rudy Giuliani.

Expect some of the same lifelong-unelected-bureaucrat bloviation and wounded-pride pearl-clutching that was shared in abundance yesterday by Kent and Taylor. In this case, it’s a woman, and she was fired, so she will likely play up the bully angle. Trump and his goon squad ousted me after a lifetime of dedicated service! For shame!

What she won’t mention is how she stood in the way of exposing Joe and Hunter Biden’s reckless plunder of Ukraine.

"That is in the Constitution, attached to the impeachment proceedings," Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol.

She then explained the basis for the charge, which stems from a whistleblower's complaint that has since been supported by numerous government officials, that Trump leveraged U.S. military aid to Kyiv to secure political favors from Ukrainian leaders.

"The bribe is to grant or withhold military assistance in return for a public statement of a fake investigation into the elections," she said. "That's bribery."

Pelosi declined to say if the bribery charge would become an article of impeachment, insisting Democrats — even as they move ahead with their investigation — have not concluded Trump committed impeachable offenses.

"We haven't even made a decision to impeach," she said. "That's what the inquiry is about. And when the committees decide that, then they will decide what the articles are."

"But I am saying, that what the president has admitted to, and says it's 'perfect,' I said it's perfectly wrong," she added. "It's bribery."

The Deep State...

I think maybe we underestimated the "Deep State".. depth, extent, layers, etc. I doubt we know the full extent even yet, but what we know is bad enough. It hasn't stopped Trump, but it sure has impeded his progress, and as far as I can tell it is still there and will slide back once Trump is gone. I am not sure we can actually define accurately what the Deep state is/is comprised of. It is MORE than senior staff and heads of Intelligence agencies and other government entities. At the very least it includes many of the day to day agents and operatives as well. I think a lot of the caveats "its only the top few, not the guys on the street"... has been VIRTUE SIGNALLING... and WISHFUL THINKING. We would all like to think "The Cops are the good guys"!! Maybe they are when it comes to regular cops.... but the FBI, CIA and others in federal agents include a LOT of DIRTY COPS (like Strzok and Comey, and Brennan and Clapper, and their agents). and it seems this sort of "deep state rot" is aided and even repeated in other Countries who are also heavy with Dirty Cops.

Then there are the elected politicians and their political staff... CROOKED (mostly)... on BOTH SIDES of the aisle!!
Just look at any new guy entering politics... mostly low to moderate income... not too many "skills" outside being a politician (talker) and no experience of real work/business. Look at them when they have been in Congress a few years... STILL no skills or talent, but likely multi-millionaires.

And this is STILL just the tip of the "Deep state" iceberg. They infest media and business, and even the higher echelons of the military (I imagine)
