Kentucky, Mississippi, Virginia and New Jersey Governors and state legislators Elections today.

President Trump has rallied in support of Matt Bevin (Kentucky) and Tate Reeves (Mississippi), while Democrats have spent millions on Virginia.

Why these races matter:
The outcome of the races could shed light on how the US is leaning in the middle of an impeachment inquiry and as it heads into a presidential election year.

Polls have closed in Virginia, where Democrats are fighting to flip control of both chambers of the General Assembly.

All 140 seats in the state legislature are on the ballot.

Democrats made major gains in the Virginia House of Delegates in 2017, but a contested recount ended in a lottery drawing that ultimately gave Republicans control of the state House of Delegates.

Here's a breakdown: Republicans control the House of Delegates with 51 seats to Democrats' 48, and the state Senate with 20 seats to Democrats' 19, with one vacancy in each chamber.

Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions plans to run for his old Senate seat in Alabama, joining a jammed field in one of 2020’s most important races.

The 72-year-old is expected to launch his campaign Thursday, two sources familiar with the matter told CNBC.

Sessions, who served more than three terms in the Senate before leaving to become President Donald Trump’s top law enforcement official in 2017, will enter a political landscape vastly different from the one he left. Trump eviscerated Sessions before he left the Justice Department in 2018, arguing he failed to protect the president when he recused himself from the investigation into Russian efforts to interfere
in the 2016 election.

Louisiana Governors Race – Election Today

Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards V Republican challenger Eddie Rispone

Tonight is the last governors race of the year. Democrat Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards is facing off against a Republican challenger Eddie Rispone, a Baton Rouge businessman who emerged as the winner in last month’s nonpartisan primary.

President Trump is very popular in Louisiana and has supported Mr. Rispone in his challenge. It is expected to be a very close race, and the media is hoping for an opportunity to frame President Trump’s reelection outcome with a loss for Mr. Rispone.

So TRUMP SUPPORT will be indicated by Rispone performance :roll

With 90% of votes counted...It is a close race .. each candidate has around 710,000 votes..looks like the DEMOCRAT will win?

Either way... it should (but wont) be a wake up call to online cult members who seem to be in a Trump Derangement bubble. As I have said before, Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a "double sided coin". There are Trump supporters who are "deranged"... Do not even comprehend that Trump is NOT "always winning". Those who deny any apparent bad news for Trump as somehow really good news... the 4-D Chess/ Sessions is beavering away in secret types. :roll
There were many who thought that the Trump effect would carry over to the Mid terms... It should have been a "wake up call" when "The People" opted for a Dem Congress... KNOWING there were already calls for Impeachment, and what Pelosi, Schiff and others were like ... they voted for them to be in charge.
I am a Trump supporter myself... but obviously around half the voters in USA are NOT.. and in fact there has always been a lot of animosity towards Trump from the WIDER left.. and the left voters, and FakeNews (left) Media in most western countries (not just USA). We all read and post online in our own "bubble"... where confirmation biases are reinforced. We all think it is obvious that Trump is being assailed with HOAX investigations, and this impeachment farce... but there are a lot of people who are "on the other side". Polls even show a majority of US people think Trump should be impeached. Personally I find THAT very hard to believe (fakepolls)... but as I have outlined, I am myself biased in what I read. I don't mean that I think I am missing out on any real evidence against Trump... but I am certainly missing out on all the Anti-trump opinions that many do hold, and it's the voters who will decide, even if they are brainwashed by fake media and "wrong" in what they believe.
---------------
And.. it's a wrap.. Race called for The DEMOCRAT John Bel Edwards...

Image

So "Trump lost"...
Not exactly FAIR to characterize it that way.. but I am SURE people would have been quick to claim "Trump won" if this election had gone the other way :cool
