I recently started to check out Justified. I like those Elmore Leanord stories.

I just can't get past a Federal Marshall conducting investigations, but Timothy Olyphant is a badass in this.

"Justified" is new to me.... I lead a sheltered life it seems?

Don't think it's been on NZ TV.... but I don't watch a lot of TV.... don’t think that would have snuck past.

My wife and I love Downton Abbey, and to balance it, the big bang theory!

The Big Bang Theory is the only TV I watch besides the news. I watch all the BBT reruns .... over and over and over. I just don't get tired of them.

Love Big Bang Theory, but recently I have started watching old episodes of How I Met Your Mother, and it has some genuinely laugh out loud hilarity I rarely see in Network television.

I started watching the Sci Fi show about clones "Orphan Black" this weekend and am hooked on it. I just caught up on all the episodes. It's a Canadian (and American? co-production) that airs on BBC America on Saturday night. The lead actress Tatiana Maslany is superb playing more than 5 clones with completely different personalities and mannerisms.

I really enjoyed it, but the second season recently ended so I'm looking for a good sci-fi show to replace it.

This weekend I watched the first season of Fargo on FX. I love Joel and Ethan Cohen's movies. They are not involved with the show, but it has the same feel as the movie, but is a different story and has different, but similar characters. It stars Martin Freeman (Bilbo Baggins!!!), Billy Bob Thorton, Keith Carradine, Colin Hanks, and Allison Tolman (in her first major role... she's wonderful). I think it's one of the best shows on tv and I plan watching it again this weekend.

I've also recently watched the first season of HBO's True Detective starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The acting and writing are top notch, but I wound up disappointed with the season finale. Even so, I'd watch it again.

I've recently gotten Netflix and have been binge watching several tv series.

I now understand why TV Guide ranked Breaking Bad as the ninth greatest TV series of all time ("Bryan Cranston's transformative performance is one for the ages.") I think they ranked it too low. This show raised the bar.

I also watched the first two seasons of Broadchurch. Great show, but watched it right after Breaking Bad, which is a tough act to follow.

I am now watching Glee. (Needed something lighter to follow those 2 shows!) I had watched the first 2 1/2 seasons while it aired. I've just rewatched those and now am up to the ones I've never seen. I should be finished in a week or two.

Anyone have any suggestions for what shows I should watch next?

I don't have any shows to recommend off the top of my head. I think we already talked about American Detective? Which is great.

Less than two months though until Bates Motel is back on :77 !

I binged on Parks and Rec a while back. I didn't think I would like it because I knew it was a left leaning show but it was so over the top that it didn't come across as pushing an agenda and it was just too funny.

I haven't seen a single episode of Breaking Bad.

A friend is trying to get me to give Sons of Anarchy a second chance, any Son's opinions?

Hi ladies :28

I haven't seen any of the shows mentioned (except Bates Motel, of course). I watch a lot of documentaries on Netflix. My favorite TV show series so far have been Revenge and Mad Men, both haved ended. Currently my fave is House of Cards - Season 4 starts in March. The acting is amazing, love Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright .. and many others. The writing is so well, the political aspect takes a backseat.

For laughs I watch either The Office or New Girl.

Movies ... anything Ryan Gosling :)

Hi Carm & Molly!

I have been told by coworkers that I should watch Sons of Anarchy, but not interested in it yet.

I haven't seen any of the shows you ladies mentioned except True Detective & Bates Motel. ( :35 2 months is great news. I am missing it!) I will take a look at them.

I've just gotten over Bronchitis, so I had plenty of time to watch tv. I saw all 4 seasons of Orange Is The New Black. Great show! Anyone else enjoy it?

I also watched 2 seasons of The 100. It took me a long time to get into it, but now I am anxiously awaiting for the third season to drop on Netflix.

Hi Mal!

No, I haven't watched Orange, I keep getting ads about it when signing on. I just started Breaking Bad, still on 1st season. Can't take but 1-2 episodes a night ... too graphic for me, but I am hooked to the series.

I hope you are feeling much better now and have fully recovered. :)

Trying to list these in order:

-Star Trek DS9
-Star Trek TOS
-The Twilight Zone
-Alfred Hitchcock Presents
-Cheers
-Firefly
-Star Trek TNG
-The Bob Newhart Show
-Night Gallery
-Star Trek Voyager
-Star Trek Enterprise

EDIT:

Sherlock is a good newer one worth binging on. Keep in mind I pay a lot of attention to the stories and writing... acting and effects are secondary.

That is it on a quick run through.

New (old) favorite. It is like a soap opera but with some imagination a GREAT series to view during your downtime.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059978/

It is available on HULU now. All 12 seasons.
