Well, I hope she is RIGHT on this one.

The last time I watched her show, was when she said "Somewhere out there, the devil is dancing tonight". That was it for me.

I think we are REALLY scraping the bottom of the barrel when a "news" article reports on what happened on Nancy Grace's tabloid show, but FWIW....

For a second time this week, Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott appeared on the “Nancy Grace” show Thursday night, providing a few new details about the killing of Dr. Teresa Sievers.

Last week, Scott announced that two Missouri men, Jimmy Rodgers and Curtis “Wayne” Wright, had been named on warrants for second-degree murder in Sievers’ death. Rodgers was sentenced Wednesday to six months in federal prison for violating his probation by leaving the state of Missouri. Prosecutors said he was spotted at a Fort Myers Walmart on June 28, the day before Sievers was found dead in her Bonita Springs home.

On air Thursday, Scott said for the first time that Wright had accompanied Rodgers to Walmart before Sievers was killed. The sheriff said investigators knew exactly what the two men had purchased but declined to say specifically what those items were.

Scott did not directly answer Grace’s question as to whether there were toll booths that photographed the men driving between Florida and Missouri but said there was a trail of some sort.

“Wrongfully accused,” says attorney for Sievers murder suspect

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- The attorney for one of two Missouri men accused of killing Dr. Teresa Sievers says his client was “wrongfully accused.”

Wayne Wright is currently being held in the Jefferson County jail on no bond. Lee County deputies arrested him last week on second degree murder charges.

Wright is the childhood friend of Teresa Sievers’ husband, Mark Sievers.

Wright’s attorney Daris Almond says he believes in Wright’s innocence, saying “evidence will clearly show Wright did not participate in the crime.”

He added, “the state cannot prove any involvement beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Wright is due in court on September 15 for a bond hearing.

It’s been exactly one week since Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott announced the arrests. The other suspect, Jimmy Rodgers, is also locked up in Missouri.

Lee County detectives say this investigation is far from over.

Little insight offered from will of slain Bonita Springs doctor Teresa Sievers

While the motive in the killing of Teresa Sievers remains under wraps, a will filed with the Lee County Clerk’s Office provides few details about the doctor’s financial situation.

Sievers’ will, which was drafted in 2009, designates her husband, Mark Sievers, as the personal representative of her estate. In the event that Mark Sievers is also deceased or otherwise unqualified, Teresa Sievers asked that her brother be appointed as her personal representative and also as guardian of the couple’s children.

Laird Lile, a wills, trusts and estates attorney in Naples, agreed to review Sievers’ will for the Naples Daily News. Lile did not prepare the document for the doctor and has no relation to her estate.

Murdered doctor had planned to come home early, alone

Dr. Teresa Sievers' trip home June 28 — the day before she was found murdered in her Bonita Springs home — was not spur of the moment but rather planned to get back to work the next day.

"That's not a real spontaneous thing. It was planned," Sheriff MIke Scott said during an interview with The News-Press on Thursday.

The family knew as early as March that Sievers would be leaving early, said Annie Lisa, Teresa Sievers' sister.

The day before Sievers flew home the two men now sitting in Missouri jails accused of killing Sievers were seen at a Fort Myers Wal-Mart, according to videotape. Scott wouldn't say what the pair purchased.

Sheriff: Arrests in Bonita Springs doctor's killing were planned ‘for weeks and weeks'

It took eight weeks of investigating before authorities were able to arrest two Missouri men in connection with the death of Dr. Teresa Sievers, but Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott said plans to serve the men with warrants had been in motion long before that.

Jimmy Rodgers, 25, and Curtis "Wayne" Wright, 47, were taken into custody in Missouri on Aug. 27.

"We had known that was going to happen for weeks and weeks ahead of time," he said in an interview Friday.

Both Rodgers and Wright have been named on warrants for second-degree murder. The sheriff still isn't ruling out future arrests in the case and said he continues to receive updates on a near hourly basis, including a tip he received by phone Friday.

A Missouri man accused in the killing of Dr. Teresa Sievers is an active person of interest in the 1996 disappearance of a Missouri minister whose body has never been found.

Curtis “Wayne” Wright, 47, has been a person of interest in the disappearance of 33-year-old Ronnie Bolin for nearly as long as detectives have been investigating, according to Missouri officials.

“He was a person of interest back when they first started investigating the case, and he’s still a person of interest now,” said Lt. Doc Coombs of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Hillsboro, Missouri.

Coombs said he spoke with Wright on Wednesday from the county jail where he is being held.

Suspect in Estero doctor's death will have hearing Tuesday

Curtis Wayne Wright, one of two suspects in the June 29 murder of Estero's Dr. Teresa Sievers, is scheduled to appear in a Missouri court Tuesday for a bond hearing.

Gov. Rick Scott has signed an extradition application to have Wright brought to Florida to face his second-degree murder charges. Wright has a Sept. 30 extradition hearing and his has said he plans to fight the extradition.

The hearing will be at 10 a.m. Eastern time in Jefferson County, which is about 45 minutes outside of St. Louis.

Suspect in Dr. Teresa Sievers' death appears in court

One of two Missouri men accused of killing Dr. Teresa Sievers remains in jail without bond until he appears in a Florida court, a Missouri judge ruled Tuesday.

Sievers was a beloved holistic doctor who was found dead June 29 inside her Bonita Springs home.

In the five-minute hearing, Curtis Wayne Wright Jr. challenged his extradition to Lee County and asked the judge not to set bond. Circuit Judge Tim Miller did not set a bond for Wright, 47, who is a childhood friend of Sievers' husband, Mark Sievers.

Wright appeared uneasy during the proceedings. He labored to scratch his face with his chained hands and puffed his cheeks as he looked up at the courtroom ceiling.

Wright's attorney, Daris Almond, said waiving the bond was procedural because the seriousness of Wright's charge means he's not entitled to bond in Missouri.

Missouri man accused of killing Florida doctor drops bond request

ST. LOUIS -- A man accused of killing a Florida doctor who was married to his childhood friend agreed Tuesday to remain jailed without bond until a hearing to decide whether he will be returned from Missouri to Florida to face prosecution.

During a five-minute court hearing Tuesday in Jefferson County, south of St. Louis, an attorney for Curtis Wayne Wright Jr., 47, withdrew a request for a judge to set bond, pending Wright's scheduled extradition hearing Sept. 30.

Wright is challenging efforts to return him to Florida. He and 25-year-old Jimmy Ray Rodgers of Cadet, Missouri, are charged in the June killing of Teresa Sievers, a 46-year-old holistic physician and mother of two whose body was found in her Bonita Springs, Florida, home.

Husband of murdered Estero doctor says he avoids media

The husband of murdered Estero doctor Teresa Sievers told a county animal services officer investigating a call of a thin-looking animal at the couple’s Bonita Springs home that he has changed his routine due to media attention but that the animals are checked daily.

A blaring alarm at the Jarvis Court home Tuesday brought a response from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Lee County Domestic Animal Services.

During the course of the investigation, Mark Sievers returned home and spoke with an animal services officer.

In the report released Thursday, the officer said Sievers explained that due to the murder of his wife and ensuing media attention he had been changing his routines. Sievers assured the officer that the dogs were old and on a special diet and that someone is at the house daily, sometimes more, to deal with them.

Sievers suspect waives extradition, will return to Florida

Curtis Wayne Wright, one of two Missouri men accused of killing Dr, Teresa Sievers, is coming back to Florida.

Wright, 47, waived his extradition Wednesday, and now the only question is when he will return to face charges in Lee County.

A spokesman for the Lee County sheriff's office Thursday said when paperwork has been completed Lee County detectives will collect Wright from Missouri and bring him to Florida. For security reasons a specific time and method of transport for Wright was not given though it was likely to happen within the next two weeks or so.

Wright waived his right to an extradition hearing shortly before it was scheduled to start in the Jefferson County Courthouse in Missouri.

Latest Update: An arrest warrant for Curtis Wayne Wright states Teresa Sievers was bludgeoned to death.

According to the warrant filed in Lee County on Aug. 28, Wright killed the Estero doctor by "inflicting severe blunt force trauma."

Earlier: A Lee County circuit judge sealed all the records Thursday that tell why authorities arrested Curtis Wayne Wright in the killing of a popular local doctor.

Assistant State Attorney Hamid Hunter filed a notice asking Judge Archie B. Hayward to seal the records due to information contained that would interfere with the active investigation.

Wright was returned to Florida from Missouri early Thursday morning. A few hours later, Wright was ordered held without bond for the murder of Dr. Teresa Sievers in June. The state attorney's office is still reviewing the details of the case, said spokeswoman Samantha Syoen, and has no filed charges against Wright.

In a scant document released by the Lee County Sheriff's Office on Thursday, the only new piece of information revealed Sievers' murder being committed on June 28 at 11:19 p.m.

A public defender is representing Wright, but Wright indicated that he wants a private attorney to represent him through the complex legal process of a second-degree murder charge. Wright's next court date is slated for Nov. 16 at 8:30 a.m.

Exclusive: Teresa Sievers' ex-husband speaks out, reveals new details

The man who spent time with Dr. Teresa Sievers before she was a doctor and long before she took the Sievers name sat down with NBC2.

Kenny Cousins, Teresa's former husband, spoke about their life together, how he learned of her murder and how he's coping with her death.

"I didn't sleep for probably four nights. I really didn’t know what to think or say," Cousins said.

"She was extremely hard working and focused. Very spiritual," Cousins said about Teresa from his St. Petersburg home. He lives within a few miles of the home the couple once shared in the St. Petersburg area.

Kenny Cousins first met Teresa online.

"She loved Reggae, funk, soul, R&B," Cousins said.

The writing led to phone calls, and then a date.

"Extremely attractive. She had on shorts and high heels, and said 'Ken, is that you?" Cousins recalled.

They married in 2000.

"The things that I remember most about her: her love of animals, her love of the outdoors, our first date at the beach with her dog," Cousins said.

Cousins carries fond memories of Teresa, even now.

"She's someone that motivated me. She's always upbeat [and] encouraging," Cousins said.

While the two divorced three years later, they remained friends.

"If there was a month that went by where we hadn't spoken, she would text more or call me," Cousins said.

The charges were filed late Monday, said State Attorney Samantha Syoen.

She added "The delay in filing charges was because the office needed the weekend to go through all the evidence."

An attorney for Curtis Wayne Wright Jr., the Missouri man charged with second-degree murder in the death of Estero doctor Teresa Sievers, said the defense team is waiting for discovery so it can proceed.

Atty. Elizabeth Parker, representing Wright, was at the Lee County Courthouse Monday morning for her client's arraignment.

Florida state law stipulates that a defendant does not have to appear for the arraignment.

Parker, with the Palm Beach Gardens law firm of Kaplan, Sconzo and Parker, appeared before Judge Margaret O. Steinbeck for all of 30 seconds before leaving the courtroom.

"We look forward tom receiving discovery from the state attorneys office and then we'll be able to move forward with our defense at that time," was all she would comment.

Charges against Wright were filed late on Nov. 16, delayed because the state attorney's office said it needed more time with what was a preponderance of evidence.

In a "Good Cause" notice filed Nov. 13, Assistant State Attorney Hamid Hunter acknowledged that an indictment had not been filed in the case, noting prosecutors did not receive "documentation of an investigation into the matters regarding this case" until Oct. 30. "The documentation is voluminous and must be reviewed thoroughly prior to a filing decision by the State," the court filing reads.
