NEW ZEALAND EARTHQUAKE 11/14/2016

Look at these cows! :(
Photo is poor, I took SS from video. Link to video and story below. It doesn't say the condition of the cows. Rumpole, the article mentions Fonterra and how the earthquake affects the dairy market. Very interesting (to me). :moo

What cracks me up is ... "wearing an oxygen mask"..

Realistic elderly mannequin fools New York police
By Stuff.co.nz | December 18, 2016

Image

New York police angered the owner of a realistic mannequin after breaking into a car to try and save what they thought was a dead woman.

The woman was described as "frozen to death" by a caller on Friday morning (local time) in the US city of Hudson, New York, according to the BBC.

Police officers found the mannequin sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car with a seat-belt on, and wearing an oxygen mask.

The mannequin was very realistic, police said. It was wearing clothes, glasses and shoes, and had teeth and what looked like liver spots.

The owner said he used the mannequin for medical training.

The car was covered in snow and police said they thought it had been left overnight in temperatures of about -13 Celsius.

The owner was later found by police and complained about the police breaking into the car.

I don't usually read (much less share) these types of stories, butt I was curious as to what, the size and why anyone would do this. Interesting (to me) that this even happens .. a way to make a profit if you don't get caught. :eek

Golden retrievers: Indian officials remove 12 bars of precious metal from man’s rectum
By RT | Edited: 13 February, 2017 11:24

An Indian man desperate to avoid paying overweight baggage fees smuggled 12 bars of gold, weighing a total of 1.2kg, in his rectum. Airport security discovered the man’s golden secret when they noticed him walking suspiciously.

The 36 year old from Tamil Nadu in southern India arrived in Hyderabad Airport on Saturday on a flight from Singapore.

After his discomfort was noticed, he was taken for questioning. Eight gold bars, weighing 800g in total, were found hidden in LED lamps in his luggage, the New Indian Express reported.

When he proved reluctant to give up the rest of the goods, customs officers put him through a metal detector, which revealed a further 12 bars hidden in his rectum.

His total haul weighed 2kg, valued at roughly 5.91 million rupees (US$88,000).

Customs officials in India have been trained to spot passengers walking with discomfort at Indian airports as potential gold smugglers. Gold bought in India retails for a significantly higher price than that bought in Singapore or Dubai, enticing smugglers to come up with new ways to get the commodity into the country, where they can turn a large profit from its resale.

Story seems a bit NUTS.... at least it's NOT about excess weight. You could easily carry 12 gold suppositories in your pocket or hand luggage.. legally apart from "currency restrictions"

I'm thinking it's more about not having to claim/pay customs for the "carry on" gold bars.
Right?

I was going to major in mathmatics, I was so good at it, obsessed with it and my dad gave me "verbal" quizzes my entire life to perfect my skills.
I am devastated that I didn't get this "visual" quiz correctly. :stamp
Go ahead, Rumpole, give it your best. ;)
All, put answer in a spoiler for me to grade.

The other 4 billion cans were sold in NZ last year. :84

Red Bull launches its own line of organic sodas, most of it (gasp!) not caffeinated
By Zlati Meyer | USA Today | March 27, 2018

Image

Red Bull is launching a new line of organic sodas, but don't expect them to give you wings.

The energy drink company announced Tuesday that three of the four new beverages will not contain caffeine. It's news that might be a little shocking to students, sleep-deprived workers, parents of infants and other fans of the product who rely on it for a jolt.

The Organics line -- Red Bull Simply Cola, Bitter Lemon, Ginger Ale and Tonic Water -- will hit store shelves on Monday in San Diego and a region of North Carolina encompassing Raleigh, Winston-Salem and Wilmington. People who live elsewhere may order the drinks on Amazon.

Simply Cola is the only new flavor that is caffeinated, although it will contain only 32 milligrams of caffeine versus the 80mg in a regular serving of Red Bull.

Craft soda is a $541 million industry, according to 2016 data from Beverage Marketing, a consulting and research company.

The organic sodas will cost the same as the energy drink. The suggested retail price is $2.39 for an 8.4-ounce single can and $8.19 for a four-pack.

According to the drink maker, 6 billion cans of Red Bull Energy Drink product line were sold last year, including 2 billion in the U.S.

This is the No. 20 fissure outside a guy's house and he is streaming it 24/7.
Every so often he will pan around showing other fissures (No. 17) still active or areas now smoking.
The loud boom sounds are the gasses exploding.
