Texas Woman Shoots Husband Over Their Cat
Sep 25, 2012 4:38pm
Gina Sunseri and Miya Shay Report:

Investigators in Harris County, Texas, are trying to figure out what prompted a woman to shoot her husband in an argument over their cat. The woman, 42-year-old Audrey Deen Miller, is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Investigators with Harris County Precinct 4 say the couple had an argument over the family cat, though there are several cats on the property so it isn’t clear yet which cat sparked the argument. Investigators say when Miller’s husband threatened to hurt the cat, Miller shot her husband in the stomach.

The husband was taken to Ben Taub Hospital where he had surgery for his wounds and was listed in stable condition. The incident occurred around 7:15 in the morning in a backyard of a quiet suburb northwest of Houston. The cat was not hurt.

Very poor reporting... no photos of the cat anywhere

Perhaps it was a kitten (under age) and so records sealed? :24

This looks to be a CLEAR case of SYG... justifiable use of deadly force to protect a loved one from serious injury.

This was absolutely a justifiable almost homicide. I'm on the wife and cat's side. I'm also on the jury. I just voted to send the husband, if he survives, to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 80 years. Fair is fair. :31

Oh...did you hear O'Reilly say yesterday that a woman threw her husband out of a hi-rise window. He didn't survive. The wife is now suing the owners of the building for not having tempered glass in the windows. Isn't it wonderful how far women have come in the equal rights arena? :98
