My Wife knows Sir Peter Gluckman .. very vaguely.. from years ago at University when she was doing a Psych Masters Thesis on Pigeon Brain function. I think she was even considering working for him?

He was already "Sir Peter' before today.. now he has the additional honour

Sir Peter Gluckman

Sir Peter Gluckman has spent a lifetime in laboratories, poring over data, and lobbying tirelessly for scientific interests to anyone who will listen. But his biggest scientific breakthroughs took place over a pint of cold beer at the pub.

I enjoyed reading about him.
