Actor Richard Attenborough dies at 90

British actor and film director Richard Attenborough has died at the age of 90.

He died at lunchtime on Sunday, his son told BBC News.

Lord Attenborough was one of Britain's leading actors, before becoming a highly successful director.

He appeared in films including Brighton Rock, World War Two thriller The Great Escape and later in dinosaur blockbuster Jurassic Park.

One of the better things about this news, is that we will be treated to some of his movies in the coming week, I should imagine.

He made some terrific ones, both acting and directing. I don't know if you ever saw him Rumpy in 10 Rillington Place, where he played John Christie - he was superb.

I THINK I have seen "10 Rillington Place" but cant remember details. That is not say it was not a great movie lol

If it does not pop up on TV I will find a link and watch online.

We have had a few Robin Williams Movies pop up, so I hope the TV people here opt for a few Duxkie Attenborough ones as well.
