A 24-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico has been charged with the murder of missing Mollie Tibbetts.

Christian Rivera, 24, was charged on Tuesday after leading police to the corn field where he dumped Mollie's body after attacking her on July 18.

Rivera, who has been in the US illegally for between four and seven years but is from Guayabillo in Guerrero, Mexico, followed her in his black car as she ran at around 7.30pm on July 18.

He 'blacked out' and attacked her after she threatened to call the police unless he left her alone.

Rivera was identified by surveillance footage obtained last week from someone's home.

It showed him following the student in his car and Mollie running ahead of him. It is not yet clear how Mollie died.

'He followed her and seemed to be drawn to her on that particular day. For whatever reason he chose to abduct her.'

Rivera told police he had seen her in the area before. The pair were friends on Facebook.

Mollie Tibbetts case: 'Our employee was not who he said he was,' said murder suspect's employer
Linh Ta, Des Moines, Published 6:00 p.m. CT Aug. 22, 2018 | Updated 6:06 p.m. CT Aug. 22, 2018

Dane and Craig Lang say they received threats after revealing they employed Cristhian Bahena Rivera, the man charged in the murder of Mollie Tibbetts. Rodney White, rodwhite@dmreg.com

When the Lang family watched the news about Mollie Tibbetts unfold on Tuesday, a familiar face flashed on the screen.

They were shocked. The face of the suspect was familiar to them as one of their employees at Yarrabee Farms, but the name that went with the picture was completely different.

"What we learned within the last 24 hours is that our employee was not who he said he was," said Dane Lang, manager of Yarrabee Farms.

Cristhian Bahena Rivera, the 24-year-old immigrant accused of abducting and killing Tibbetts, allegedly used a different name and provided false identification when he applied for employment at the farm just outside of Brooklyn, his employer said Wednesday.

Rivera worked at Yarrabee Farms in rural Poweshiek County for four years, Lang said. Yarrabee Farms is owned by multiple generations of the Lang family, including Craig Lang, former Farm Bureau President and prominent Iowa Republican.

FBI search teams have swooped on the secluded farm where alleged killer Cristhian Rivera lived - just minutes after it was revealed Mollie Tibbetts's death was caused by multiple stab wounds.

Three agents with K-9 dog units were seen on Thursday afternoon showing a warrant to the occupants of the ramshackle rural property before heading inside.

DailyMail.com understands the raid is linked to the ongoing search for the weapon that caused the 'multiple sharp force injuries' to 20-year-old Mollie's body.

It was the first time the FBI had visited the house since Monday afternoon, when an agent was seen accompanying local law enforcement when Rivera was taken into custody.

An autopsy conducted on Wednesday revealed Tibbetts was killed by 'multiple sharp force injuries.'

The agents, from the FBI's Omaha, Nebraska, Evidence Response Team, arrived just after it was released by Iowa law enforcement.

Illegal Alien Accused of Murdering Mollie Tibbetts Has an Anchor Baby
23 Aug 2018

Image

The illegal alien accused of murdering 20-year-old college student Mollie Tibbetts and leaving her body in an Iowa cornfield has a U.S.-born child.

This week, law enforcement announced that Tibbetts’ body was found in a cornfield in her rural hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa, after she was last seen jogging on July 18.

Illegal alien Cristhian Bahena-Rivera, a 24-year-old from Mexico, has been charged with first-degree murder in her death after police say he admitted to confronting and chasing down Tibbetts. The illegal alien lived in a region of Iowa that was surrounded by sanctuary cities, as Breitbart News noted.

Police have previously noted that Bahena-Rivera has been living in the U.S. illegally for the past four to seven years. A new report reveals that the illegal alien has a U.S.-born child with one of Tibbetts’ former high school classmates.

The children born to illegal aliens are often referred to as “anchor babies,” as they are able to eventually bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S. and are given birthright citizenship. Every two new immigrants to the U.S. brings an estimated seven foreign relatives with them. Anchor babies also allow illegal aliens to permanently stay in the U.S. as they can claim that they have American citizen children.
