I guess he is trying to lay the foundation for the "evidence" that Medina was abused.
Nothing he has done is working. Still trying to figure out why Coleman was recalled. I remember Atty Sleaze trying to put blame on him (Coleman) when talking to judge, for something that wasn't done in the first place, but one of the team should have caught it.

It's time Medina testifies and gets this mess over.

He is clearly avoiding putting Medina on the stand at all cost!!

They are going to go away and "burn" a CD copy of still images from the video... it the presence of State Video Expert so that he can authenticate it

My guess is the Prosecution did what I did... smart move

Taken all stills of critical part of video. Defence have latched on to this... it is a LOT more professional than their shonky expert popping up with two composite photos from who knows where.

This is all still... RIDICULOUS. All that is there is a small black blip for 1/10th second... no matter what they try and do to manipulate images. It could be a knife handle... but who cares? Knife on a sink bench.. so what?

I can't help but picture hand puppet shadows of cat's tail.

I think the judge is allowing this senseless stuff in, to avoid any error for appeal. Not to allow it could affect Medina's rights. CRAZY!
In the long-run, I'm afraid he is going to get any conviction overturned because of "incompetent council" ...

There are 151 images in a 4 sec clip...... 33 images per second... so each is .03 of a second... a very short blip

That was a BIG waste of time and probably confusing the jury at this point. I think Prosecution will simplify it all during closings.

Parties will begin at 10:15AM tomorrow to discuss Shoemaker's deposition (taken today at 3:00PM). Depending on Judge's ruling on deposition, they will then hear whether Medina will testify and work on jury instructions.

MIAMI - The trial of a man who fatally shot his wife and then posted a picture of her body on Facebook ended early Monday because a witness scheduled to testify for the defense was hospitalized and unable to appear in court.

"It's become abundantly clear to this court that over the last 24 hours of court time that the defense has been trying to build an error, OK?" Miami-Dade County Judge Yvonne Colodny told Zangeneh. "You knew that this was an issue (but) never indicated to the court that the witness would not be available on Monday. You actually said, 'He will be here on Monday.'"

Attorneys for the defense and the prosecution agreed to depose the witness in the hospital Monday afternoon and play the recorded testimony for the jury Tuesday.
