"Complaint Filed Against Volusia Medical Examiner"

"In her Sept. 27 letter to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Medical Examiner Commission, Krystal Brown said the doctor who autopsied Brown told her he concluded Brown had died in a "traumatic homicide," but that his boss told him not to put that conclusion in the official report.

That doctor, Shiping Bao, was fired five days before his boss, Medical Examiner Dr. Marie Hermann, finalized the Brown report.

In that report, Herrmann listed the cause of death as an accident, concluding that Marlon Brown had suffocated after he "slipped and fell and then the police car came to a stop on top of him."

Also:

"Krystal Brown and the family's attorney Benjamin Crump delivered the letter of complaint to the Medical Examiner's Commission in Tallahassee Sept. 27, Crump spokesman Ryan Julison said."

Julison is Crump's spokesman!! :Gslap That's why the media received a photo of Marlon Brown when he was twelve!

Hiya, taurus! I'd guess we'll see the "foundation" as soon as they have some money to launder, and/or as soon as they think they can get government grants to fund it.

forensicspy - sickening, isn't it? And taurus is no doubt correct - they'll be getting government grants for a "foundation" soon, no doubt. And they can quit their jobs (if they had any) and tour the country whining about how their criminal son was running from LE because he "won't go back to jail" and ended up dying during the commission of a crime, while endangering LE and private citizens. :wall

I have nothing good to say about Crump or Bao... the officer, imo, was driving the vehicle in a reckless manner. He certainly did not have it under control and a human being is dead as a result of such.

I haven't followed this closely and haven't seen the dashcam video that I am guessing is what you base your opinion on. My comments have been pretty much about Crump and company.

OTOH, the man was resisting arrest. I'm not suggesting that is a death penalty offense, but it is a crime. He put himself into the position he was in.

I am with you one this. But with that said we don't know what evidence was given to the GJ. I have faith in the justice system so I am okay with the no bill. And the officer was fired. And the family got the 500k.

The thing that bothers me most is that the family accepted a 500k payment prior and methinks they don't have that kind of money laying around to repay the city. It just screams of More! More! More!

What is even more laughable is that Crump is relying, yet again, on Dr. Bao who, at this point, could not be rehabilitated in a court of law.

They also sent the letter to Florida Governor Rick Scott and Attorney General Pam Bondi. In addition to seeking a new inquiry into Brown’s death, the letter says that Bao originally ruled the death a homicide, but that Hermann intervened and changed the finding to an accidental death.

Contacted by the news agency Reuters, a Volusia County spokesperson simply said, “The autopsy speaks for itself.”

Mazin said Harris is unlikely to ever face charges unless the family's attorney, Benjamin Crump — who represented Trayvon Martin's family — can find additional evidence.
