Police: Suspect in shooting of two officers not in apartment; search continues
By Tim Darnell | WXIA | May 27, 2017, 7:13PM ET

COLLEGE PARK, Ga – The search for a suspect accused of shooting two College Park officers is continuing after what was thought to be a standoff yielded no results in a local apartment.

Police previously believed they have found the suspect, Kendarrious Chester, barricaded in a Riverdale Road apartment. However, after hours of attempting to negotiate the suspect out of a home, they found no one inside.

The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said Chester is considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting happened at the Red Snapper restaurant, located at Old National Highway and Old National Parkway. Police were responding to reports of a domestic disturbance at the location.

One of the officers was shot in his vest, around the stomach, and the other was struck on his radio. Both are expected to recover.

Exclusive: Suspect confesses to C-L reporter; 8 dead, including deputy
By Therese Apel | The Clarion-Ledger | Updated: May 28, 2017, 2:15PM CT

Authorities from multiple agencies took Willie Cory Godbolt into custody in Brookhaven Sunday morning after they say he killed eight people, including Lincoln County Deputy William Durr, 36.

Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain, in a news release, said the shooting spree began at about 11:30 p.m. with a domestic call at 2871 Lee Drive in Bogue Chitto.

Four bodies — three females and the deputy — were recovered there. The second crime scene was located at 1658 Coopertown Road in Brookhaven. The bodies of two juvenile males were located there.

The third crime scene was located at 312 East Lincoln Road. A male and a female were recovered at that location.

Strain said authorities are waiting on the notification of next of kin before releasing the names of the other seven victims.

Durr was a two-year veteran of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and a four- year veteran of the Brookhaven Police Department.

The identities of the other victims are pending notification of next of kin.

BTW, the Dallas event was peaceful. Seems there were more anti-Sharia people who showed up than antifa thugs.

I don't know if the article says this or not but apparently the flag pole had a nail sticking out of it.

What a horrid person.

Multiple dead in shooting at UPS facility in Potrero Hill
By Laura Dudnick, Joe Fitzgerald Rodriguez | SF Examiner | June 14, 2017, 9:12AM

Multiple people are dead in a shooting involving UPS employees at the company’s facility in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood Wednesday morning, a UPS spokesperson said.

UPS spokesperson Steve Gaut said the company’s understanding is that the shooter, a UPS employee, is among the dead.

The shooting was reported around 9 a.m. at the packaging and sorting facility at 320 San Bruno Ave. At least four employees were shot and at least one was taken to a hospital, Gaut said.

There are 850 employees at the UPS facility in Potrero Hill.

Police wrote shortly after 10:30 a.m. that the incident has been contained and the building is secure, but investigators are continuing to look through the building for possible victims or witnesses.

Robert Kim, owner of Action Auto Care located at 2040 17th St. that’s a block from the UPS facility, said at about 9 a.m. he heard six to eight gunshots and saw UPS drivers running east who were “screaming, ‘Shooter! Shooter!'”

Inmate takes own life after shooting 2 deputies at Coffee County courthouse
By WKRN Staff | June 19, 2017, 6:37PM

MANCHESTER, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two deputies were shot by an inmate who took his own life soon after he appeared in court Monday afternoon in Coffee County.

The situation began at 2:30 p.m. when Michael Bell, 37, was in court on charges of kidnapping and evading arrest, among others.

During a press conference early Monday evening, authorities said Bell was in a holding cell after his hearing when a deputy went to get him.

Bell reportedly attacked the deputy and a significant struggle ensued. The inmate was able to get the deputy’s gun and shot the officer one time before running away.

Authorities said Bell then shot another deputy as he was leaving the building.

The inmate then ran to nearby streets where he went into at least one home before leaving. As law enforcement officers closed in, the 37-year-old took his own life in the street.

Latest: Milwaukee jury clears ex-cop in black man’s death
By Associated Press | June 21, 2017

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Latest in the trial of a former Milwaukee police officer charged in a fatal shooting (all times local):

2:30 p.m.

A Milwaukee jury has acquitted a former police officer of first-degree reckless homicide in the shooting of a black man last year that ignited riots in the city.

Jurors on Wednesday found that Dominique Heaggan-Brown, who is also black, was justified when he shot 23-year-old Sylville Smith after a brief foot chase following a traffic stop Aug. 23. Smith had a gun when he ran, but prosecutors said Smith had thrown the weapon over a fence and was defenseless when Heaggan-Brown fired the shot that killed him.

Heaggan-Brown’s attorneys argued the officer had to act quickly to defend himself. Bodycam footage showed 1.69 seconds passed between a shot that hit Smith in the arm — as he appeared to be tossing his gun — and the one that hit his chest.

The prosecution in the Heagann-Btrown case said it was reasonable for him to fire the first shot but not reasonable for him to fire a second shot because it was apparent that Smith was then throwing the gun down. Between the first and second shot. It was 1.6 seconds between the shots :roll . these people are flat out nuts.

I'll let you know if rioting begins.

Baxley Police identify 2 suspects after restaurant assault
By Dal Cannady | WBTV | Updated June 23, 2017

BAXLEY, GA (WTOC) - Police are still struggling for words to describe the attack that took place in Baxley Thursday afternoon after a mother and her daughter were assaulted at their family-owned restaurant.

When you leave veteran lawmen speechless, you've reached a new low.

It happened just after 3 p.m. at the Qwik Chick takeout stand next to U.S. Highway 1. Owner Jeanette Norris says it started when a couple ordered two meals. They complained that their chicken was too cold and that they didn't get enough fries. The owner checked the food and after more discussion, the female suspect attacked her, slapping and punching her in the face. The owner's 15-year-old daughter then walked out of the truck, where she was punched in the face by the male suspect. It knocked her off her feet. The couple drove away as two other customers got there. Police call the assault completely unprovoked.

"I've been here, what, 41 years - 30 of them as chief. I have never seen anything like this. I've never heard of anything like this," said Chief James Godfrey, Baxley Police Department.

Plenty of WTOC viewers who saw this video contacted Baxley Police to give them information on the suspects. Based on that, police are looking for Nathaniel Eric Smith and Latasha M. Smith. They have active warrants for aggravated battery and cruelty to children. They are considered dangerous and have a tendency towards violence.
