Last night I heard such a mournful cry ... loud - over and over. Thought it sounded like a cat. Lilly was sitting on the window sill, so I looked outside and saw a blonde cat. I worried that he/she might be starving and thirsty like Lilly was when I found her, and ran and got him/her water and cat food. He/she was more interested in me, and being friendly.
When I went out much later I saw he/she had hardly touched the food. Must NOT be starving!
Lilly has been spayed my Vet told me. Could he be a male wanting Lilly even if spayed? She IS beautiful and very feminine ... :78 Poor baby... so mournful... so loud!

A spayed female cat should NOT release pheromones that attract Tom cats, but who knows... it could be true love rather than lust? :24

You have restored my faith. It is usually LUST I think.
So ok.

Now what? Friend warned me if you bring in an animal they could be bringing in a disease?

IMHO :9

YES... you should perhaps tend to keep it as an outdoor cat only.. Lilly the indoor cat.

Perhaps inquire locally in case somebody is missing their cat.

If it adopts you... you should get it checked out at the vet before letting it live indoors.

:6 :6

Beware... word might spread between cats that you are a soft touch for being taken in by any cat with a friendly disposition and a grin :24

OH again today. This poor mournful cry! Everybody hears it.

It didn't last long though. Lilly ran to the screened window. OMG.

I found out today that Lilly was abandoned in June. They moved then, I think I took her in in August sometime - early to mid August.

My poor honey ... If another neighbor hadn't started feeding her and giving her water for 2-3 days, I don't know if she would have made it. :8 I think about 4 pounds underweight. A lot for a cat?

Just In Time :DN4

Good advice R. Thanks. He didn't seem to eat hardly any of the food. Maybe he has a home ...

OK MM Hi! I found an all natural Coconut Shampoo... and it should make her fur shine too. Mostly white.
Ha! Says in the directions to **close off all exits when you wash them**. ROFL. :31

Going to wear a jacket and get some rubber gloves they sell for cleaning - and ask my neighbor
to help me. Lilly loves her. She stares at her when she is here. She started feeding her tuna
(the only thing she had for her) and gave her water. She has 2 dogs. Kept her alive for me ... and got Lilly to me. Lilly never
forgot her!! Such a dear gentle thing... but HOW will she be around water?

My friend keeps saying TAKE HER to a Groomer. I called my Vet. They don't wash cats. :60

I have been taking off the lid letting Lilly smell her shampoo ... so maybe she will get used to it and like it? She seems to like it.

I SURE am enjoying my new life in the CAT world!! Really!!! :86 Better late than never I guess..

MM (I can't believe I asked you what kind of dog you had!!) :11 :45 :95

At this stage of my life I might not be fast but I WILL get there!!!
My friend said today that she will help me.

I am thinking since I have 2 sinks. I should have one for her washing ... and
one with warm clear water to rinse her off, plus a bucket with clear warm water too for a final rinse maybe?

Honestly I have seen people plan a European Trip more easily than THIS! :8

I think you should at least try to bath her once. She might be one of the cats who enjoy baths and water! :39 If not, you can try to find a groomer to bath her! :6

If you can, try to take a picture of her after and post it here!!! :57

He took his Boxer out for a walk. Got a heart attack - unconscious - alone with his dog. His dog KNEW something was wrong and BARKED AND BARKED AND BARKED till people came!
Someone gave him CPR till the EMT's came. His dog ... SAVED HIS LIFE! He is having heart survery today.
Sweet 4 legged HERO!!
Had to share. Please don't neglect dogs on this site!! :81 :86
