Ha, looks like we ALL love Lucy! What's not to love. So helpless and innocent. I love her myself!

I know! She is adorable. I think she's over her dental. She seems back to normal today. Whew! I was so worried until it was over. And I'm glad I finally got a microchip in her. She's the only one of my 3 dogs that didn't have one.

4 little bitty lbs? My shoes weigh that much! How do you deal with something so tiny? CricketFrmHell is right at 47 lbs and she is little in my books. Shadow, my big red dog now deceased, weighed about 90. When CFH is in trouble (like tonight!) I tell her she is only half the dog Shadow was. Methinks she is MY karma.

I can't even pay people to steal her. They wouldn't last a day with her.

This is Cricket in her younger wilder days... WTH. I love her to pieces.

CFH ... I had a dog that looked just like her! He was SPIKE - and WAAAAAY before Joan River's "Spike". I think she copied me! lol

He was mostly black Lab. Sweet guy. After he was gone... I did another rescue, looked very much like him - was Spike Jr.

Gone Too Soon :DN4 We get such love from "rescues", don't we? :heart

S.E. I agree with you 1000 %. Lilly rescued me... hard to believe but true.

NOW if I can only teach her to BARK when a stranger is near ... she would be perfect! :lol

Why my dog barks...
1) FED EX or UPS trucks. She hates them with the passion of a thousand suns.
2) Get up and play with me. If that doesn't work she comes and strattles me across the waist while I am trying to sleep. 50 lbs. Brat.
3) She has caught the scent of another human. Does NOT matter if the air molecules got disturbed hours earlier. It also doesn't matter if it is Sean across the street that she has seen for nearly 4 years.
4) Plumbers. And it has to be the butt crack because that is where she wants to nip them. Still no notches on her bed post nor flesh in her teeth. YAY!

Her latest adorable trick...She has been on meds for 3 weeks. She sits down and opens her mouth for me to stuff a pill or 2 down her throat ( >thismuch< because she gets rewards of hugs and kisses...and canned food.)

:81 She is ridiculously funny. I :heart CFH. Right now, she is in the middle of the bed sleeping because I told her to go to bed and quit bugging me since I am working 11 hours a day.

Mine bark at UPS trucks too. One day I was en route to the vet with one when we stopped at an intersection. Also stopped there was a UPS truck. The dog went berserk barking at the danged thing!

Ha ha ha ha barks at ANY UPS truck, even on the road. rofl. More fun than a barrel of monkeys.
Since Lilly has discovered the computer because of those great "cat/bird videos" (mostly
for the indoor cats), she is REALLY into all facets of it.
She hears quality jazz tunes, and appears out of nowhere, on my desk, intent on watching, listening!! When I play something other than wonderful, she stays wherever she is.
Seems my baby has good taste. She amazes me daily!!
I would give ANYTHING to hear that welcoming HOWL I always heard, when coming home, even before I pulled in to my parking spot. My car is silent, AFAIK - so how did she know??
All of them, always, amazed me.
What an empty, different life it would have been without them.

My cats run about the house, then out the back door when anybody sets foot on the driveway... long before I hear anything... so they are a great warning system.
YET.... they don’t stir when my wife arrives home, nor when the two of us arrive home if the cats are home alone. I have no idea how they KNOW the sound of a stranger is so different from my wife’s car, or her footsteps etc? :40

:cat :cat :6

I have always had cats free to come and go. That was just the way people treated cats when I was growing up. Some people even locked cats out at night... which I never thought was a good idea. I do understand the need to have totally indoor cats... just not what I have done. To my regret... when cats have been the victims of road deaths :(

Read back, Joni :fish

I have detailed my current three cats and posted photos. 2 girls and one boy (tripod).

Mine barks at any animal on the tv, at anyone making noise outside (walking by, neighbors opening their doors, etc) and barks continuously at any workman and/or visitor in the house, unless I hold her the whole time. :95

At least you have a lively house!! lol
Had a nasty neighbor that complained when he walked by, and Lucy howled.
I had to get her one of those cintronella (sp?) collars. Used it once or twice and she learned - fast!! Always.
My Lucy ...

How empty my house would be without Bogey, my Springer Spaniel. He is involved in everything but never gets in the way of anything, Intensely loyal to food and affection.
