A bulldog in Oklahoma is recovering at home after she came in contact with a porcupine.

Jerry and Allison Noles say Bella the bulldog and their other two dogs got a bit too close for comfort to a porcupine who was hanging out near a pool in their backyard.

All three dogs took quills to the face, but Bella was the worse, taking in an estimated 500 quills to the face feet and mouth.

Vets at the animal emergency center in Norman and Oklahoma City say it's the worse they've ever seen.

Majority of the quills were removed from Bella, though she's still at risk for infection.

R - Very carefully... :95

How do they use them ... like missles? That poor baby now facing possible infection. Poor honey doing nothing but living, hanging, on her property. :97
