Well, the good news is Al Franken doesn't have an excuse to stay in Congress. :roll

So disappointing though. :(

I'd like to put this election behind us and start working on the criminals (Congress, past & present Administration) getting indicted.

So sick of the continuing hearings and requesting records/documents, blah blah blah.

And McCabe not showing up for a Intel hearing today, scheduling error.

Time for some arrests to happen.

Yeah!

Thing is... in hindsight.... if Sessions had said he wanted to recuse then nap as AG... he would have been better left to sleep in the Senate

Hard to fathom WHY Alabama peeps, who support Trump +28%, now vote in a Dem Senator and so make it even harder for Trump to get stuff passed in Senate.
THEY picked Moore ahead of Strange as their Rep candidate... even if they regretted the Moore choice later... they were stuck with him by their own action, and as I said when it came to today's election the choice was BINARY... a guy who would be an asset to Trump, or a guy who would make things harder for Trump.
Voting Dem, or not voting were NOT an option for the +28% who support Trump?

People are so DUMB!!

Looking on the bright side....

Firstly as Molly says... not excuse for Franken to hang about :)

And it does avoid the ongoing crap in Senate with Moore ethics hearings and that crap. Senate can maybe get on and do their job!! :roll

Also.... IF Moore does want to pursue civil action .. especially against the Allred fake victim and forgery etc. He now has CLEAR damages that he can claim. The loss of the election and damage to his reputation is obvious. :cool

ALSO any Democrat accused of sex stuff.. even back 40 years.. has to resign... especially the crowd yet to all be revealed who used the Cogressional slush fund. There MAY be a few Republicans.. but I bet you a million dollars to a burnt match that the vast majority of offenders are Democrats. Democrats generally are perverts and randy old goats. Besides... any randy Republicans deserve to go.. so let the pervert chips fall where they may.

Ya never know... some 100 year old woman could come forward on her Zimmer Frame and claim that McCain chased after older women when he was 25 and she was a 44 year old Cougar?

Moore not conceding... yet

Recount due?..... :roll

Brings back memories of Florida... hanging chads.... pregnant chads

The spread is widening so the .5 spread triggering a recount may not apply?

Doug Jones, 671,151 votes, 49.9%
Roy Moore, 650,436 votes, 48.4%

Showing 100% counted.

Doing the math.... :cool

I assume most (if not all) of the "write-ins" were Republican "Virtue Signalers" :doh

Dopes who took the time to go vote.. but were too stupid to consider the consequences (such as partial birth abortion)

Moore ...... 650,436
Write-ins ... 22,780
TOTAL ...... 673,216 votes 50.07%

Jones 671,151 votes 49.92%

With write-ins Moore would have won :wall

Lets face it....

McConnell's Senate is already stuffed with just 52 "Republicans"... 4 or 5 being anti Trump... so losing 1 more wont make much difference

Rumpole, I am sooo impressed with your deep knowledge of American politics .... Hanging chads, wow! It would probably curl our toes at the amount of our own citizenry who have no idea what that references.

If only our own citizens knew 1/100th of what you know, we would not be in the mess we are in.

You should definitely move here, immediately become a HONEST journalist and help us out.

Ohhhh. Advisor even better.

I only said journalist because conservatives are thirsty for honest resources. We have nothing. BB, no
The other source is over run by lockstep thinkers and has become unwelcoming. They don't realize they are becoming like Berkley. Shutting people down . or maybe they do realize.

So no offense meant by journalist. Just have a need here. (As you well know) :cool

Roy Moore challenges Alabama Senate election defeat, alleges rampant voter fraud
By Lukas Mikelionis | Fox News | December 28, 2017

Roy Moore filed an election complaint late Wednesday, claiming voter fraud altered the outcome of Alabama’s Senate race, paving the way for Democrat Doug Jones’ victory.

The Moore campaign said in a statement that the purpose of the complaint is to delay the certification of the election results until “a thorough investigation of potential election fraud, that improperly altered the outcome of this election, is conducted.”
The request came just a day before the State Canvassing Board is scheduled to meet and certify the results of the election.

“This is not a Republican or Democrat issue as election integrity should matter to everyone,” Moore said. “We call on Secretary of State Merrill to delay certification until there is a thorough investigation of what three independent election experts agree took place: election fraud sufficient to overturn the outcome of the election.”

The statement cites three Election Integrity experts saying that “with a reasonable degree of statistical and mathematical certainty … election fraud occurred” and noted the irregularities in 20 precincts alone could reverse the results of the election.
[...]
The election complaint also includes an affidavit from Moore saying that he underwent a polygraph test and confirmed that the allegations of sexual misconduct with underage girls are “completely false.”

by Jane C. Timm

Alabama officials certified the results of its special Senate election Thursday, officially naming Democrat Doug Jones the victor not long after a judge rejected a last-minute challenge from Republican Roy Moore.
