Here we go!... the usual "family attorney" circus... :roll

Schultz’s Family Hired a Prominent Civil Rights Attorney, Who Questioned Police Tactics & Training

Less than 24 hours after the shooting, Civil Rights Attorney L. Chris Stewart said he was retained to represent the Schultz family as the investigation continues. He said the family is seeking answers as to why officers didn’t use other tactics to subdue Schultz.
[....]
Stewart, who’s a partner at Stewart, Seay & Felton, has represented Alton Sterling, Gregory Towns, Walter Scott and Chase Sherman, all who died after incidents with police.

If, and I mean if, I can believe any news reports:
This guy, Scout
1. Made the 9ll call, reporting himself as armed with a gun and knife
2. Did not obey officer commands, advanced on officer(s)
3. Screamed shoot me at officers
4. Left 3 suicide notes in his room
5. Attempted suicide 2 years ago

Suicide by cop, plain and simple.

Cop Identified.... Tyler Beck

Officer who shot Ga Tech student had been on job 16 months

ATLANTA (AP) — The officer who fatally shot a Georgia Tech student had been with the campus police department for about 16 months, according to state records. Officer Tyler Beck shot and killed Scout Schultz, 21, Saturday night after the fourth-year student called 911 to report an armed and possibly intoxicated suspicious person, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.

This video is VERY interesting, thanks. I had no idea and it explains (probably) why Scout Schultz was shot BEFORE it reached the officer. This aside ...

I really wish Schultz had gotten it help. What a sad, isolated and helpless feeling to get to that point.

There's so many questions I have about this incident and haven't taken the time to read about it. I just know police are NOT psychiatrists and I guess this was a split-minute decision. No time for a negotiator.

ETA: I agree, Showpoodles. Just a combination of two that you listed would be reason enough to think suicide by cop.

Yes, Molly.
It is a tragedy, but I cant help but think that liberal notions exacerbate personality problems.

As I have said.. the suicide by cop is a SEPARATE issue to the riot by feral savages. They simply can not be allowed to run rampant every time a cop shoots somebody (from an alt-daft favored class of people). Even if there ever is some really egregious incident, it does not justify a riot by feral savages. We have law enforcement and the judicial process to deal with such things. Mobs rioting is never needed.

I agree Molly, too bad he did not receive the help he obviously needed.

Rumpole says : ... liberal notions exacerbate personality problems.
Wow! Great statement. Certainly keeps playing out everyday!

I wish the feral thugs would be shut down immediately. Sick of seeing it.
I would like to see PRISON TIME.
Oh, that would mess up their futures! Better sooner than later. They
are obviously not planning on a great future anyway. Even the ones
working on degrees.

Tired of it too, unless it happens and the hardcore BLM are arrested (not like who was the other night in St. Louis).

Ferguson was a fiasco that should never happened. The stand-down orders, Dim officials turning their back on what happened, Obama sending 3 representatives to Mike Brown's funeral-- he essentially made it "okay". The rest is history... this is when BLM grew. At the same time, NYC riots after Eric whatshisname dying of a heart attack after being restrained, Al Sharpton leading a march chanting about killing police. Mayor de Blasio turning his head. Then Freddie Gray protest/riot with the Mayor? telling the LEO to let them protest, "give them space". In a very short time it all set a precedence for BLM.

I do believe it is territorial and BLM knows when/where to go.

There was a protest in Dallas last Saturday, planned 3 weeks in advance. No news coverage. One white BLM guy got arrested immediately for "disorderly misconduct" and there were no more problems after that.

Surprisingly, it seems Atlanta PD shut down the disturbance fairly quickly last night. I am thinking the arrests helped, but that one guy screaming in the officer's face was sickening.

Thanks Molly..

So SCOTT Suultz sure sounds like a guy. Gives his guy name and described himself as a white male.

This CRAP about him "identifying" as "non-binary" gender and demanding HE be referred to as THEY is just nonsense that has been pandered to.
This guy's friends, and family KNEW he was unstable. Rather than pander to him and give him status as a LGBTQA activist and leader, they should have been getting him psychiatric help.

Steep bonds for 3 suspects in violent riot on Georgia Tech campus
Alexis Stevens The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
1:54 p.m Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017

FROM LEFT: Jacob David Wilson, Andrew Xavier Monden, Vincent Castillenti

The three people arrested during a protest on the Georgia Tech campus were all granted bond Wednesday. But getting out of the Fulton County jail will come with a price: The bonds range from $20,000 to $107,500.

Vincent Castillenti, 31, of Decatur; Jacob Wilson, 22, of Atlanta, and Andrew Monden, 20, of Marietta, were arrested Monday night as a violent scene erupted at what began as a peaceful memorial to Scout Schultz, a student shot and killed by a campus officer . The vigil later evolved, fuelded in part by outside protesters, Tech’s president, G.P. “Bud” Peterson said.

Aaahhh. The ever present disheveled, deranged and vacant look.
That must be a prerequisite to join their side.

I mistakenly thought the one in the middle was a girl, until you posted the names tonight.

New video of Georgia Tech shooting surfaces
By Christian Boone | AJC.com | October 11, 2017

[ Video: https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=db6_1505625867 ]

New video of the death of Georgia Tech student Scout Schultz provides possibly the clearest view yet of last month’s shooting by a campus police officer.

The video, shot by a student in a nearby residential hall and linked via the Twitter account of a lawyer associated with the case, shows Schultz walking slowly towards the officers as they formed a semi-circle — some 20 feet away — around the 21-year-old Lilburn native.

“There’s a large gap between the officer and Scout,” said Chris Stewart, the attorney for Schultz’s parents.

Tyler Beck, the officer who fired the fatal bullet, is seen shining a flashlight on Schultz, who had a utility tool with the blade not extended. Schultz had called 911 to report a male with a knife and, perhaps, a gun, acting strangely on the west side of campus.

“(Beck) should’ve definitely seen he wasn’t holding a knife,” Stewart said. “This video is devastating for Georgia Tech.”

Georgia Tech officials have declined comment on the shooting, citing the ongoing investigation.

Schultz had ignored commands to drop the multi-purpose tool and could be heard on another video of the incident shouting “Shoot me!” at the officers.

“What’s striking about it is the officer to (Beck’s) right is stepping back” as Schultz moved forward,” Stewart said. “(The other officer) was doing what you’re supposed to do.”

“All of the other officers are de-escalating,” Stewart said.

Oh, no wonder! LOL

Rum wrote “I’m bisexual, nonbinary and intersex,” Schultz wrote in a Pride Alliance profile." I can tell you haven't been on Twitter in quite some time, or you'd see that crap constantly. The intersex is a new one on me, though. My head is spinning...
