You're right!

It's "Pioneer Cemetery Confederate Monument" in downtown, usually called Pioneer Plaza on normal days.
There is a civil war era cemetery next to it. That's where the fight happened and people won't leave. Yelling "stand your ground".

I've been trying to think what in the past I can equate this to, and there's nothing. I mean, it's not like there are "Whites Only" drinking fountains all over the place, those are probably the last thing I remember about the civil rights period.

I do believe all this since the election has NOTHING to do with statues or Nazis. If it is about racism, they are repeating the same 'ole protest thing, getting the same results and nothing resolved.

And to think this behavior is being taught in universities. :doh

ETA tweet: Crowd not budging. There's a second wall of State Police behind @DallasPD

It's a small crowd though. :)

Come on Texas.....

In the good old days you would round up the ornery protard cattle... and drive them to some place far away... California!

LOL! We still have the Cattle Drive every year in Fort Worth. We talking Dallas here.

They were just told park is closed. Gave a 2-minute warning to leave or be arrested. So must not be many people.

I saw a comment to the effect...

This "protest" has devolved into a bunch of kids protesting about being told to go home :lol

It's true, Rumpole, exactly! See below.

Well, it's over. The end. Adios.

Funny (to me) tweet between reporters. True, a big party district close by: ;)

Crowd in Pioneer Park -- a cemetery -- chanting "We want peace" during scuffle between people who I think actually agree with each other.

Tonight's rally is now a bunch of people protesting going home.

There is some great nightlife up the road about a mile.

And thank goodness no one messed with this guy who demanded a lot of attention. :)
