Most often Macron is called a centrist by the lyin' press. Now that I know he was seduced at 14 by a 38 year old marm it gives more insight into him being screwed up and being incapable of rational thought.

It’s an issue … I guess?…..but is it THE issue that France faces?

I would NOT trust polls as far as I could chuck them, but......

A 60/40 split to Macron seems insurmountable. A win to Le Pen would signal CRIMINAL corruption by pollsters ahead of the election, and I would expect polls to be banned henceforth, and leaders of polling companies/newspapers to be jailed. :)

The polls DID predict the 1st round result and short of a massive criminal conspiracy across multiple pollsters and news sources, I have to assume polls are accurate (ish) now. Some MAJOR EVENT (in next 3 days) may change things, but hard to imagine what? It seems French voters have not got the hint even after all the terrorist atrocities of past few years.

Each candidate has around 23% and one assumes that is a fixed base vote.

Note:
55% of 1st round voters DID NOT PICK EITHER

TO WIN outright a candidate needs to attract the 27 -28% of voters who did not pick them in round 1, or who did not vote at all.

On the 1st Round, of those who voted:
Le Pen got 21.5%
Macron got 23.8%

But....The turnout for the first round of the election was only 78 percent, and so the actual vote over ALL eligible voters translates to be.....

Le Pen 16.77 %
Macron 18.56%

That AIN'T much of a "mandate" for either. :roll
80+% of voters are OPPOSED to whichever candidate ultimately grabs power.


IF the #FakeNews Fake Polls are "close enough" then the final result is likely to be a 60/40 split with a 75% turnout.
Translating to
Macron (60) ===> 45%
Le Pen (40) ===> 30%
