Bohemian Rhapsody

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemian_Rhapsody_(film)

Quote:
Bohemian Rhapsody is a 2018 biographical film about Freddie Mercury, lead singer of the British rock band Queen. It follows the singer's life from when he joins the band in 1970 to their 1985 Live Aid performance at the former Wembley Stadium in London. A British-American venture, it was produced by 20th Century Fox, New Regency, GK Films, and Queen Films, with Fox serving as distributor. Directed by Bryan Singer, it was written by Anthony McCarten, and produced by Graham King and Queen manager Jim Beach. It stars Rami Malek as Mercury, with Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Tom Hollander, Allen Leech, and Mike Myers in supporting roles. Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor served as creative and musical consultants.

Bohemian Rhapsody was announced in 2010, with Sacha Baron Cohen set to play Mercury. After he left the project in 2013 following creative differences with producers, the project languished for several years before Malek was cast in November 2016. Bryan Singer was the director through principal photography, which began in London in September 2017, but was fired in December 2017, for absence, and clashing with the cast and crew. Dexter Fletcher was hired to complete the film, although Singer retained sole director credit as per Directors Guild of America guidelines. Fletcher received an executive producer credit, and filming concluded in January 2018.

The film was released in the United Kingdom on 24 October 2018 and in the United States on 2 November 2018. It received mixed reviews from critics; its portrayals of Mercury's life and sexuality and of the other band members were criticised, but Malek's performance and the music sequences received praise.[8][9] The film also contains a number of historical inaccuracies. It became a major box office success, grossing over $861 million worldwide on a production budget of about $50 million, becoming the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2018 worldwide and setting the all-time box office records for the biopic and drama genres.

Bohemian Rhapsody received numerous accolades, including a leading four awards at the 91st Academy Awards for Best Actor (Malek), Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing; it was also nominated for Best Picture. The film also won Best Motion Picture – Drama at the 76th Golden Globe Awards, and was nominated for the Producers Guild of America Award for Best Theatrical Motion Picture and BAFTA Award for Best British Film, while Malek also won the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and BAFTA awards for Best Actor.

Exodus (1960 film)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exodus_(1960_film)

Quote:
Exodus is a 1960 American epic film on the founding of the modern State of Israel. It was made by Alpha and Carlyle Productions and distributed by United Artists. Produced and directed by Otto Preminger, the film was based on the 1958 novel Exodus by Leon Uris. The screenplay was written by Dalton Trumbo. The film features an ensemble cast, and its celebrated soundtrack music was written by Ernest Gold.

Often characterized as a "Zionist epic",[3][4] the film has been identified by many commentators as having been enormously influential in stimulating Zionism and support for Israel in the United States.[5][6][7] While Preminger's film softened the anti-British and anti-Arab sentiment of the novel, the film remains contentious for its depiction of the Arab–Israeli conflict. Preminger openly hired screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, who had been on the Hollywood blacklist for over a decade for being a communist and forced to work under assumed names. Together with Spartacus, also written by Trumbo, Exodus is credited with ending the practice of Blacklisting in the motion picture industry.

I found this outline....
Heartland - a 'Must See' Movie
A ‘Must See’ Movie from 1989
Dan Warren '
Quote:
Heartland', a Movie about Dictatorial Government Destroying Lives

The movie is about the arbitrary decision of a European Agricultural Bureaucracy to Up End the whole dairy industry in Great Britain, it’s Commonwealth Members such as New Zealand and Australia, and the European continent, when they decide by bureaucratic dictate which countries will produce milk for the European continent and Great Britain, and how much each nation will be allowed to produce.

Although the movie is about a Welsh dairy farming family, and how their financial viability and multi-generational heritage were destroyed by the flick of a pen, dairy farmers in New Zealand were equally devastated, as this bureaucracy eliminated their ability to provide dairy products to Great Britain, as one commentator wrote about [see in the comment section below], relating how his dairy farmer father took his own life as a result of these arbitrary actions.
