Anyhow the main character's name was Kaspar and he was a mute young man maybe 19 or 20 who was found by a Romani, (gypsy) family and lived with them. It is the story of his place in the "family" and the their struggles, does that ring a bell for anyone? I would be forever grateful to find it again. Carm, could this be the movie you watched? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071691/ |

Thank you, Mal! I always see movies when they come out, thinking I'll rent them when available, then forget the titles. I have more time for movies lately. Good to know you enjoyed these. CARM! I have a post above to you. |

Well that is part of the problem, it was in another language, I don't remember the language, it had subtitles. So here you go Rumpole 1) Language not English 2) Main character Kaspar/Caspar young (19/20) Romani/gypsy who is mute, he gets robbed of his car and is picked up/taken in by a fatherless Romani family. 3) Trials and tribulations ensue 4) Drunken father of abandoned family makes a brief visit 5) Kaspar falls in love with daughter of family 6) Lots of drunks Maybe I should ask some sluethers to look for it . Then again if it isn't right under their ass they are likely to be lost. By George, I have got it!!! I will tell them Oscar Pistorius has stolen my copy and can they please help me find the title so that I can file a proper police report Of course they would probably come back with "Pippi Longstocking" and insist that it is the right movie |

How about.... Quote: The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser (German: Jeder für sich und Gott gegen alle; lit. Every Man for Himself and God Against All) is a 1974 German drama film written and directed by Werner Herzog and starring Bruno Schleinstein and Walter Ladengast.[1] The film follows the real story of foundling Kaspar Hauser quite closely, using the text of actual letters found with Hauser. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Enigm ... par_Hauser |

Yeah.. The original YT link seemed to work and showed as 109 mins long..... but when I tried it it was just a short trailer. Other YT links were fakes too.. but I found the pone one I posts.. not at YT. I enjoyed the movie... but rough sea type stuff wasted on me..outside my experience. |
