I just checked and Dam it's no longer on NetFlix :( If you do catch it, You have to watch passed the credits because it shows more. I hate when Movies do that!
Just checked, you can buy it on Amazon also Walmart has it for the same price Amazon has it 8.96

One of my all time favorite movies is "Around the Bend" Christopher Walken, Michael Caine, Josh Lucas and Jonah Bobo, I think any Christopher Walken fan would like it.

While I'm here. I watched a movie once which had subtitles, the language may have been some version of Romani ? Anyhow the main character's name was Kaspar and he was a mute young man maybe 19 or 20 who was found by a Romani, (gypsy) family and lived with them. It is the story of his place in the "family" and the their struggles, does that ring a bell for anyone? I would be forever grateful to find it again.

I will ask my husband tonight, Carm. He's a movie buff and is always watching these types of movies with subtitles. Will let you know one way or the other.

After reading through here, I am inclined to get offline for a day and just watch movies recommended here. Thanks for the suggestions y'all. :)

Hi Carm :28

I thought he'd know but he doesn't. He said he Googled and couldn't find anything.
I did too and will some more! I like a challenge to find things.
Must be those Highlights magazines as a kid. ;)

Hi Molly I wish I could remember more of the movie. I'm not even sure of the spelling of Kaspar :( The movie starts out with the Kaspar character being beaten up and tossed out of a car and I think it is indicated that he was a petty criminal before the movie begins. He is picked up by a Romani family who take him into their fold, he never speaks, and develops a crush on their adult daughter.

Sons of Anarchy was recommended to me, I started watching it and there was a single likable character on it, plus it is loaded with pointless violence so not my cup of tea.

I like the first 2 Godfathers

1 and 2 were brilliant.. 3 not as good... but as movies go.. still better than most.

The trilogy is all three movies with scenes in chronological order (no flash-backs), plus hour(s) of extra footage.

It has been a long time since I watched any of them, my favorite was #1 when Michael starts out as a young idealist.

I finished watching The Godfather Trilogy .. excellent! I liked seeing the scenes in chronological order, plus the new stuff. Had not seen GF3 so the ending was a surprise, and Andy Garcia's character was amazing. Thanks, Rumpole for the free stream link. It worked perfectly :)

I BOUGHT a VHS boxed set of "The Epic"... in the 80's? Early 90's maybe....which was I and II scenes combined in chronological order.. PLUS lots of extra scenes (over an hour). That is version I have watched many times.. can no longer recall which were added scenes.

The "Trilogy" was hailed as same sort of thing.. only with Godfather 3 included too... I watched the whole thing... over 10 hours... simply because its been a while since I watched my "Epic" version. I did HOPE there would be some extra, extra scenes from 1 and 2 as well as extra scenes from Godfather 3 ( which I have only watched as stand alone movie)... but I did not notice any new scenes from any movie ( in addition to those added in The Epic), in The Trilogy :(

I STILL recommend watching Godfather: The Trilogy

Rumpole, how are the two "Last Don" movies you posted? Just curious if you have a review .. yet. I'm in a movie mood this weekend, especially if the storms hit here tomorrow night.

Worth watching... but 4 hours is a lot of time to invest :)

Not in same league as "the Godfather" or even "The Sopranos"... bit of a family saga and a romance in Mafia setting.

For me.. a very sad moment in a Bond Film.... I had a "crush" on Diana Rigg when she played "Mrs Peel" in UK TV series "The Avengers". Mrs Peel leaving her partner "John Steed" in the Avengers was a sad scene too

On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Mrs. Bond's death)

This is a lengthy article. I've never seen BTTF 2 or 3. Now want to watch it!
If I can find the movie, I will post it. ;)

Back to the Future II: What did it get right and wrong?
By Leo Kelion | BBC | October 20, 2015

Image
It's almost Back to the Future Day - the date Marty and Doc crashed the
future in the second of the three time-hopping sci-fi adventure films.

The sequel was released in November 1989.

And watching it back nearly 26 years later, it's impressive to note how many tech trends it predicted, even if it also contained its fair share of misfires.

I loved the original and 2. Saw both a dozen times over the years. The 3rd went back in time to the wild west. Only watched that one once.
