KJ commented on how the ipod vid I posted in Random videos indicated some of what she wrote in her book was already coming true:

kjnelson wrote:
rumpy this is the weirdest shit I've ever seen, I'm freaked out by it, and you know why.

I just finished and published Ignorance Theory, a book about a future with human clones. Two
of the clones were the Chud- the President of Technology, and his man, Smitty, both defective
clones of the same human man. Defective clones were able to produce things out of nowhere,
beer, smokes, silver silos, electricity, etc, etc. The scientists called it some sort of technological magic.
Now, 5 years after I wrote IT, and 4 days after i published IT, IT'S COMING TRUE! ;)

A lot of your book rings true!!! (No BS)
Of course the plot is over the top, but the themes therein are VERY true.

And perhaps some is not as over the top as we might imagine.

The book outlines how "Top Scientists" try to improve clones, give them "common sense" at least.

First clones were made using earlobe blood... they were dumb... so "brain blood" was tried... not much better... so heart blood... same... finally a combination of brain and heart thought to be "soul blood" and still no good.

In fact we have proof positive that clones walk amongst us.... made from ASS BLOOD!!!!!

Spoiler:
They all post at Justice Quest in the Trayvon Zone :31
(No friggin common sense at all over there)

Hmmm I've been resisting the kindle since I've had this vision of being right in the middle of a good story and behold it erased before my very eyes. And because I like to hold the print edition in my hands and feel it so I want a hard copy. Guess I'll have to change with the world. I may get your book after Christmas if Amazon has it.

I do love dark stories though and it is freaky how some things are happening as you envisioned them. It seems as though since the election in the US half the United States population has been cloned from a defective source. Hahaa

I agree Packy... printed book is a different experience and books on shelves (collecting dust) is part of my normal world.

But.... I also have shelves full of vinyl records I never play and CD's I hardly play. In addition I have huge files of downloaded music on computer and YT at my fingertips as a music library.

I think Kindle will be the same for me. I will have the books on shelves.. but May actually also download the Kindle.

MUCH easier to find passages you want to reread... perhaps even copy and paste somewhere. This is my first Kindle.. and I found you could just highlight a word.. get dictionary meaning etc... so easy to do as you go, rather than stop and look stuff up in a dictionary.. or simply read on and never acquire the new word.

And... if you really must... you can always print pages and read the book that way.

It would be a GREAT buy before Christmas.. holiday reading...

Also a GREAT thing to give as a Christmas gift.... just buy 20 or 30 copies...... difficult gift problems all solved for $13.99 a pop!! :91

NOW ONLY $3.99

$13.99 a pop!!

Ignorance Theory has been reduced to $3.99, to keep up with technology.
Now I will qualify for a whole new category! The CHEAP category.

I absolutely love the dictionary feature with the Kindle. You can also highlight passages that you like and set a bookmark. I now understand why so many people have them, although I will always love printed books.

A few different things came up (my life's tilted a bit), that prevented me from reading the whole book, but I read Chapter One and really enjoyed it. I especially loved some of your phrases:

"Contentment mingled with peace on the earth."

That's so pretty.

Am I right rumpy?

Encouraged to ask any questions. :8

KJ.... why 5 more cats?

Easy... look around and ask... there are always kittens in need of rescue... get 5 (or more) and grow your own cats from them. (If you have excess... give to good human) :6 :6 :6 :6 :6

And... YES I thought of Mal when reading chapter 2 (and more in chapter 3) :91

The early part of the book contains stuff about "Mother Nature" and (not giving too much away)... "Fayda" who does evoke thoughts of fairies and fantasies.

I can also imagine Mal's reaction to "Technology" :62

Here is a description of Fayda from chapter 2

“Fayda, the goddess of virtue, all things good and all things beautiful.”
Sweet young Fayda, who was flowing across the courtyard, care-not, fancy free and whimsical. She was exactly the beauty mother had envisioned, with the dusky-hued, emerald eyes, The goddess of virtue. All things good and all things beautiful. Long and willowy, white flowing linen, bare feet, and cherry blossoms in her hair.

Thanks rumpy for that nice excerpt.
The description of Fayda's movements came from watching my cat Spydie walk across the floor.
