How cute, the 2 of them together. Thanks R. :heart

I remember going to very early concerts of hers. I would share my "opera glasses" with some guys down the row.
OMG I had a hard time getting them back!! ALL THE MALES wanted to STARE and STARE at her. She was very young then.
She is from Canada, and might have studied with Oscar Peterson there, not sure. Love her - she's so funky, bluesy, and low down.

Love this musician/singer from Brazil!

She doesn't wear shoes! So cute, so earthy. So GREAT!
She married one of the Brecker brothers, from the suburbs of Philadelphia, where I lived.

His Dad played organ, nothing like JOEY!!! lol :DN4 Joey started playing at a young age.
A REAL MONSTER!!! You have to hear him... and more on youtube. :DN4
Catch the inner play and communication and FUN between the musicians. I MISS all that...

A big guy with a HEART as BIG as TEXAS where he lived!

Joni,

You mentioned in an email a song called "Insensitive". Is this the one you meant? I love this song! :rose

Mal Hi! I love that song too! I was actually thinking of another one called How Insensitive.

It was composed by the wonderful Jobim, and joined here with Sting.
Such a beautiful thing ...

Mal, this reminds me of your avatar. One night my Italian drummer came in saying "Joanna have you heard 'So Many Stars'? You HAVE TO GET it!! I did ... we performed it the following week. So beautiful ... poetic. People loved it!!! I hope you do. I think it can bring down a heart rate ... :86
