Kind of a plain looking woman until she opens her mouth, Elizabeth Parcells sings Voices of Spring Waltz , beautiful.

Sadly the big "C" took her at age 54.

That was lovely, Jordan. How very sad that she died so young.

I read she fought cancer from the age of 18 months, must have been a tough lady.

The Flower Duet is one of the most incredibly beautiful duets for sopranos. It's one of my favorites. :79

From Wikipedia:

The Flower Duet (Sous le dôme épais) is a famous duet for sopranos from Léo Delibes' opera Lakmé, first performed in Paris in 1883. The duet takes place about 14:30 in Act 1 of the three act opera, between characters Lakmé, the daughter of a Brahmin priest, and her servant Mallika, as they go to gather flowers by a river.[1] Its ubiquitous presence in films and popular music since the mid-1980s was inaugurated by its usage in the 1983 horror film The Hunger.

British Airways used the duet in a long-running series of advertisements.

Belle nuit, ô nuit d'amour from The Tales of Hoffman by Offenbach.

Another lovely duet for sopranos.

Anna Netrebko is stunningly beautiful in this video.

Anna Netrebko and Andrea Bocelli sing Brindisi from 'La Traviata' at Royal Albert Hall for the Classical Brit Awards 2008 ceremony on May 8th, 2008.

They're both so incredibly talented and sound wonderful together. BTW, Andrea is stunningly beautiful too!

Funny you should say that. My male co-worker listens to male singers (mostly). My guess is that men rather look than listen to a woman? :62

Married men?

It's probably a conditioned reflex reaction (Pavlovian) to a woman's raised and screechy voice :12

That's what he said! (Maybe that's one of the reasons why he's single, though!) :84
