The Rolling Stones song "Angie" was about David Bowie's wife Angie... rumor has it she had "affairs" with various Stones band members. It is also rumored that David Bowie had a "fling" with Mick Jagger... ?

Angie - Stereophonics

David Bowie wrote the songs "The Prettiest Star", "Golden Years" and "Cracked Actor" about her (during a backstage sequence in the D.A. Pennebaker concert film Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, David calls her by the name "Star".) She often accompanied him on his international concert tours.

Did you know.... that David Bowie plays alto sax on the Steeleye Span cover version of the song "To know Him is to love him" a (classic) song written by Phil Spectre. Quite a departure for Steeleye Span who wrote and played Rock versions of traditional English Folk Music. They obviously had a bit of fun while recording their album "Now we are Six"
