Final Prediction...

I'll take that result (Shame, but never saw any hope of BXP seats)

I'd like to see the daft parties do less well..
1 token Green Nut is ok... but The DimLibs and the SNP don't deserve so many seats.

POLLS CLOSED - SKY Instant "Exit Poll"

86 seat majority for Boris

55 seats for Mad Scots is a bit much... they will be an even bigger nuisance in Westminster... banging on about another REFERENDUM for Scottish Independence at every speech!! :doh

At least the DIMLIBs look to gain only 1 seat... and the GOOD NEWS could be Jo Swinson might lose her own seat :)

LABOUR deserved to lose big.. because of Corbyn alone..

But the rest of them are awful as well..

This guy (Barry Gardiner) looks like a scruffy, piss-soaked, old tramp

Image

STILL in denial ... can not see how bad Corbyn is,.. not to mention himself and the rest of Labour
He says he feels sorry for the people (as in implying they voted WRONG... again)

There is a traditional Side-game rivalry to be the FIRST to DECLARE a final result

Sunderland V Newcastle Districts.

Newcastle Won ;)

Image

Sunderland only Minutes behind...

Image

BOTH Labour victories... but note In Sunderland South,
BXP plus Tory combined would have beaten Labour

Also as Farage kept trying to point out... BXP were taking votes off LABOUR (betrayed leavers), and not off conservatives.. who would have had NO CHANCE in this LABOUR electorate if BXP were not running

ANOTHER Constituency where The Tories SPLIT the Brexit vote.

IMO the Tories are a bit naughty... well they DID NOT want Farage to gain even a "beach head" in Parliament.
Tories would have had NO CHANCE in this Labour seat... but by standing a candidate they blocked BXP winning it (maybe)

This daft woman has ZERO self awareness...

She is lamenting how "devastating" it is for (Labour) MPs to lose their sets.
These MPs have BETRAYED the people who voted for them.
They BLOCKED Brexit despite their Constituency voting 70% for it
They were WARNED repeatedly that there would be consequences...

Scottish SNP... ALREADY demanding a referendum on Scottish independence.

Image

They did have a Scottish Independence Referendum in 2014. At the very LEAST I think they should wait a few years to see UK actually Brexit (and flourish)

In simple terms it seems to make sense that some defined region should be able to break away and form their own Country, but that sort of thing effects the "Parent Country" as well as the break-aways. No Country would let parts of their sovereign Country simply break away lightly. There are all sorts of considerations.... economic and "strategic" for instance. In the specific Scottish case... the vote would be split close to 50/50, so half the people would have "Independence" forced on them. There would be a LOT to negotiate.... it would likely be MORE complicated than Brexit.. and take many years.

Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson set to lose seat, exit poll indicates

The survey gives the Liberal Democrat leader just a 5 per cent chance of retaining the Dunbartonshire East seat.

:lol

Leader of the DIMLIBS who claimed she would take her 12 seat party.. and WIN the election and become Prime Minister.
Her main policy was to simply CANCEL BREXIT... ignore the 17.4 million who voted for it
Looks like the DIMLIBS might gain 1 seat going from 12 to 13... but Swinson NOT winning her seat :)

HARTLEPOOL - was Brexit Party's best chance of a seat...

Richard Tice did show poll numbers of 19% as a peak... but was always a distant 3rd.
Following Hartlepool convinced me that Brexit Party was unlikely to gain any seats.

ANOTHER seat that Boris could have stepped aside to give BXP a chance. As I have said before I think Boris REALLY did not want BXP getting even a toe in Parliament... they actually PREFERRED that Labour won such seats.

Corbyn giving speech as he wins his seat..

He is basically saying that Labour Manifesto was best… (presumably people too stupid to see that)

He also says he will continue to lead the party? But not lead it into any future election?

I think his party may have something to say about THAT>

He needs to be sacked as leader!!

This is WORSE performance by Labour since 1935… Jeremy… WAKE UP!!

Apparently... In Northern Island DUP (Unionists) have lost 2 seats

So DUP down from 10 to 8
Sinn Féin likely to hold 7, and Social Democratic & Labour Party likely to get 4

https://www.bbc.com/news/election/2019/ ... rn_ireland

So Irish Nationalists now have 11 seats to Unionist 8

There will likely be more pressure for "United Ireland" as well as Scottish Independence

Nice encouragement from Trump but......
As things stand, even if Boris deal goes through on 31st January 2020, there is still a year where UK is "in transition" in negotiations with EU for a "Free Trade" deal and unable to negotiate deals outside EU. And even if that can be done by December 2020, the agreement already REQUIRES that UK stay aligned with EU rules, standards, even laws and taxes, and so they will remain UNABLE to negotiate deals with Nations (like USA) that are NOT aligned with EU.
I DO NOT see things working out well at all if Boris sticks to his "Deal"
