The NEXT rollicking election debacle is.....

Thursday, 6 June, 2019 - Peterborough by-election

Farage sees this as a test... all in to get a real MP for the "brexit party" :roll

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Pete ... y-election

Quote:
As the Labour candidate, Onasanya was first elected to represent Peterborough in the 2017 general election, defeating Stewart Jackson, the sitting Conservative MP, by 607 votes.

Following a conviction for perverting the course of justice relating to a motoring offence in 2017, which resulted in a custodial sentence, it was announced in January 2019 that she had been expelled from the Labour Party. She remained in parliament, where she sat as an independent and continued to protest her innocence.

As a result of her conviction, a recall petition was organised in her constituency. It was signed by 27.6% of the electorate, more than the 10% threshold required; as a result, on 1 May it was announced in the House of Commons that the seat had fallen vacant. This was the second recall petition and the first successful use of the voters' petition procedure to remove a sitting MP, as provided for in the Recall of MPs Act 2015.

During the 2016 United Kingdom European Union membership referendum, 62.1% of Peterborough voted to leave the EU.

So this was Tory electorate... "stolen" by a Labour Candidate, who was corrupt. Recalled in disgrace by voters. The Conservative party SHOULD be able to take it back... but we have "Tory-lite" determined to win it. It is being hailed as yet another "referendum on Brexit"?
I have no idea really... but it seems to me that The Brexit Party will (at best) split the Conservative vote... and Labour will win?

A total of 15 candidates are standing for election

Mike Green with Nigel Farage

THE BREXIT Party are now officially the clear favourites to win the upcoming by-election in Peterborough, according to the bookies.

The party, which is contesting its first ever parliamentary election, is currently odds-on to win with every bookmaker following its landslide victory in the European elections.

According to Oddschecker, the best odds on candidate Mike Greene are 4/6, meaning a bet of £6 would deliver a profit of £4 if he won.

Some bookies have his as strong as 4/9 on.

I have been getting Poll updates etc from "Britain Elects" Twitter. I have had a sneaky feeling that they are biased (left of course)

This early NEGATIVE tweet seems to be made up from nowhere to me? In fact everyone I see is predicting a comfortable Brexit win, and besides it is way too early to have any hard confirmation data.. enough to concede a (close) election :roll
If it does not pan out to be true I think it confirms the Britain Elects is a biased (fake News) leftist shill outfit just like the rest of UK Media. We'll see :roll
If Labour do actually win, then I will have renewed respact for Britain Elects... not just an online hack, making shit up...... but somebody with "reliable sources" :)

This tweet is being retweeted and hailed as a victory already by Libtard Marxist Labourites.... :doh

There are also Labour activists predicting a win (as you would expect), but the early Britain Elects tweet puts them firmly in with that group of "political activists" when they claim to be in the business of posting FACTUAL DATA. (polls etc)

Lets hope it is just FAKE HOPE... making the Leftist disappointment and outrage more extreme, and shrieks more high pitched, and their tears more salty! :neener

ETA
With results now in... CONFIRMING a Labour win I do concede that Britain Elects were not just "making shit up"... but even so, I am not comfortable with a crowd that purports to report (tweet) real data venturing into Twitter speculation, in effect cheerleading for one side (especially the loony left) :cool

All the ballot boxes are now in.

Turnout was 48.4% it has been announced. (apparently that is on the high side)

There was also a 69.4 per cent turnout for postal votes.

Oh noes! Remoaners will want another vote since the half that didn't bother voting were obviously on their side!! :roll

Unwise to rely on Twitter Larpers....

but several saying that Brexit LOST by less than 500 votes?
:doh
(calling for recount)

Peterborough people are said to be 70% in favour of leaving the EU....
A (female) social Marxist back for Labour in Westminster... AGAIN...makes little difference, but Labour MP's are pushing REMAIN... or at least a second referendum.. which is just a cover for LEAVE... (It makes zero sense to want a second referendum other than to overthrow he last one) :doh

But... Brexit Party's first ever Westminster MP WOULD have been significant.

Apparently Farage Turned up but has left again... so it looks like Brexit Party are conceding defeat (no recount?)

The people get what they vote for... UK is DOOMED!

A result for one MP among 650 changes little on the face of it... but the fact that The Brexit Party could NOT win this seat in a 70% LEAVE electorate (at the moment FOCUSED on leave EU to the exclusion of other issues)... with Labour and their Communist Anti-Semite leader discredited... having just RECALLED a Labour MP because she was a nasty dishonest crook... then I think Brexit Party will struggle in most electorates when a General Election takes place. They will NEED a manifesto and policies and shit like that... more stuff than just "Leave EU" :roll
Clearly Labour do have a good "ground game" as people have said. They can drag out people who will always vote labour no matter what.
