May promising to resign as PM ... IF her deal is passed???

What TF is the point of that?

"The deal" is STILL said to lock UK into the EU but with no say in what goes on... worse than actually being in EU???
And.... UK PAYS $39 Billion penalty up front???? INSANE!!!

I don't blame Theresa May WANTING to run away after inflicting THAT on people? :roll

May is going to be gone... regardless of what she opts to do... so she is not offering much in going a little sooner.

Brexit: Indicative votes results – watch live

Also listening to idiots calling in to LBC radio :roll
https://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/how-to-list ... bc-online/

Just heard 160 (only) MPs are in favor of LEAVE on Friday with "no deal".
IMO that is the ONLY ethical thing to do.

UPDATE
YT feeds all stalled (live image of a clock, but no audio)
I hear Speaker has suspended Parliament? Theresa May has "left to find the speaker"
It's a farce in Parliament... which befits the farce that the whole Brexit thing has become.

UPDATE2
They are back. Speaker reading results of votes.
I can't say I can follow it at all at this stage... there will be a list published... and NONE of it is binding anyway :doh

You can't make this shit up....

They are now arguing/debating which option FAILED the least :lol
Pushed by Remoaners who want another Referendum... start again.
The argument being that the option that FAILED... but got the most votes.... somehow has merit as if it had passed?? :roll
Image

Apparently this farce is due to continue a second day.... Monday?
Obviously that assumes that Brexit will NOT happen on Friday... the farce is neverending

AND.... the point is missed that EU are NOT likely to accept some "customs deal" or whatever UK might dream up.
The EU have already said NON!!!

Another email to LBC...Tom Swarbrick

Quote:
Hi

I am a NZer listening online. I am actually a British citizen by birth.

I hear a lot of talk of a "people's vote" or second referendum because many people were uninformed/misinformed at the time of the 2016 Referendum. If that was true then, then it is likely true still. People are certainly still open to coercion by "propaganda".

IF that is true then "important decisions" should not be decided by referendum (in the future). Certainly another Brexit referendum seems ill advised now.

Theresa May's final attempt to please her globalist masters
The Duran
Published on Mar 29, 2019

ThersaMay (EU puppet) 3rd try at vote on Crap treaty.... DEFEATED!

286 Ayes, 344 Noes (loss 58)

Here's how each party voted:
Ayes - 286 in total: 277 Conservative MPs; five Labour MPs; four Independent MPs.

Theresa May has been trying to win over the hardliners in her party for weeks. Many flipped – especially after her offer to resign if the deal went through – but it wasn't enough. Voting tallies show that 34 Conservative MPs opposed the deal on Friday.

That group included Brexiteers such as Steve Baker and Mark Francois -- who broke with colleagues including Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees-Mogg by standing firm against the deal -- as well as pro-Remain lawmakers such as Dominic Grieve and Justine Greening.

Noes - 344 in total: 34 Conservative MPs; 234 Labour MPs; 34 Scottish National Party MPs; 11 Liberal Democrat MPs; 10 DUP MPs; four Plaid Cymru MPs; one Green Party MP; 16 independent MPs, including the 11 lawmakers that make up the Independent Group.

Reports of things "kicking off" later in the night?... ARRESTS

Annoyingly I can't find much video.... I would have thought that the countdown to 11:00pm would be important.... as Brexit is actually betrayed?

Brexit protest: Two arrested as tensions rise between police and protesters

"Assaulting a Police Officer" :lol

Image

Apparently...
There was only ONE arrest for "assaulting a police officer"... I wonder if the pic is it?
Two arrests for "assault" (public fighting each other?) (my guess is that is normal for London on a Friday night)
One arrest for "Drunk and disorderly"... I imagine that is a HUGE REDUCTION as far as drunks in London on Friday night goes... which suggests that the rally REDUCED such behavior?
One arrest was a guy with a previous outstanding warrant (an offence in Hertfordshire) :roll
... that is NOT down to violence or anything else at the rally. :roll

On top of all that... who knows if those arrested were remoaners or Patriots?

Ah... I see UK's problem.....

"May's Deal" (written by Merkel) is actually a REMAIN option (still controlled by EU)
The only true BREXIT option in the mix is "hard Brexit" (WTO Trade)

I was NOT paying very close attention to UK Politics prior to the Referendum....

But the impression I got was that people were voting for (or against) leaving the EU totally. A "hard Brexit", although it had not been named that yet. A 2 year delay from trigger to effect seemed a long time, but it made sense to negotiate the details to cause as little disruption as possible, perhaps "phase in" some aspects over time. Having done all that I see no justification for "taking Hard Brexit off the table".

IF there were to be another Referendum.. there would need to be some sort of official declaration that the first referendum was flawed and so declared null and void..... with reasons clearly stated. Also if 52/48% vote split (4%) is to be regarded as an "unsafe" result.. then the vote margin for Remain would need to exceed that in order to overturn the existing result to leave. It seems to me that a remain vote margin of 5% would be a minimum requirement?

A second Referendum must have an option: LEAVE WITH "NO DEAL" (the day after votes certified)
"MAY'S DEAL" could be an option, but there is no point in including other "leave deals" since NONE have been approved by the EU and they have stated they will not negotiate beyond "May's Deal"
REMAIN could be an option (at a pinch)

Nothing is easy.....

I can see UK parliament spending weeks "debating"... whether to hold a referendum, then more time to decide when, what the choices might be, how to analyze the results, and still FAIL to accept a result! :doh

I see consideration already at UK Government website..
https://www.instituteforgovernment.org. ... dum-brexit

(At least Government sees the same 3 choices as me... they got something right) :roll

What might the referendum question(s) be?
Quote:
Most referendums offer voters a binary choice between two options. In the case of Brexit, there are at least three possible outcomes:

Theresa May’s deal, Brexit with no deal, or remaining in the EU after all.

A second referendum could in principle be held as a straight choice between two of these options: for instance Deal vs No Deal, or Deal vs Remain. In this case, whichever option won more votes would be implemented. This approach would naturally be opposed by those who support the third, excluded option.

If a referendum were held that includes all three options then there are different ways to determine the result. The simplest approach would be to allow each voter to vote for their favoured option, with the most popular choice declared the victor. This could lead, however, to an option being implemented without support of a majority of voters.

To avoid this, voters could rank their choices in order of preference. The least popular first choice would be eliminated, and its votes reallocated based on second preferences. This would ensure that the successful option gained over 50% of first and second preferences.

Finally, the referendum could include two separate questions. Question 1 could ask whether voters wish to Leave or Remain, as in 2016. Question 2 could ask voters to select between the two different models of Brexit, if there is still a pro-Leave majority.

ACTUALLY..... It is quite simple....
The "Leave or Remain" question has been put and answered.
IF UK Parliament can agree on a "Deal" that the EU allow.... then MAYBE there could be a second question put...

No Deal Vs Parliament/EU deal

I doubt that Parliament can agree on a deal acceptable to EU other than the "May Deal"

I PREDICT that no deal will win :)

Listening to Remoaners predicting doom and gloom...

It occurs to me that they are of the mindset that Europe is supplying goods to UK purely as a "service" to UK (like European AID to UK). Remoaners don't seem to grasp that the reason Europeans make and ship goods, farm products, medicine etc to UK is for their own sake. They want to SELL STUFF to UK consumers. That motivation will still be there even after a "no deal Brexit"
