Retire?
I HOPE that is a euphemism for.... forced to quit his job to start serving a life sentence in a federal prison!!

...fully eligible for pension benefits... :roll
Give me a break.
His "wealth" derived from corruption should be confiscated.

ONLY a Gov employee would qualify for a "full (generous) pension" at age 49??

Note.. my man Chris Farrell echoes what I have been saying about the OIG....
DO NOT rely on the OIG report being the start of some sort of "Big Ugly". :roll

The OIG is "gutless"..... and Chris answered "Maybe" when asked about OIG report coming out in next few months.
Described the OIG as a "department of cover-ups"

Byron York: McCain associate subpoenaed in Trump dossier probe
by Byron York | Dec 27, 2017, 2:59 PM

House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes has issued a subpoena to David Kramer, a former State Department official who, in late November 2016, traveled to London to receive a briefing and a copy of the Trump dossier from its author, former British spy Christopher Steele. Kramer then returned to the U.S. to give the document to Sen. John McCain.

Kramer is a senior fellow at the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University.

McCain later took a copy of the dossier to the FBI's then-director, James Comey. But the FBI already had the document; Steele himself gave the dossier to the bureau in installments, reportedly beginning in early July 2016.

McCain, recovering in Arizona from treatments for cancer, has long refused to detail his actions regarding the dossier. For his part, Kramer was interviewed by the House Intelligence Committee on Dec. 19. The new subpoena stems from statements Kramer made in that interview.

In the session, Kramer told House investigators that he knew the identities of the Russian sources for the allegations in Steele's dossier. But when investigators pressed Kramer to reveal those names, he declined to do so.

Now, he is under subpoena. The subpoena, issued Wednesday afternoon, directs Kramer to appear again before House investigators on Jan. 11.

Ah, now this makes sense. I've heard from the beginning that McCain the Dossier to the FBI, then I heard "no, McCain only had a copy" so this is the first time I've heard Steele gave it to the FBI in parts. I'm sure it have been stated but I never saw it until now.

The fact that McCain even HAD a copy, then provided it to the FBI, seems to be the ultimate "back stab" to President Trump.

So we wait until January 11. :Q26

Did the FBI Conspire to Stop Trump?
By Patrick Buchanan
December 26, 2017

The original question the FBI investigation of the Trump campaign was to answer was a simple one: Did he do it?

Did Trump, or officials with his knowledge, collude with Vladimir Putin's Russia to hack the emails of John Podesta and the DNC, and leak the contents to damage Hillary Clinton and elect Donald Trump?

A year and a half into the investigation, and, still, no "collusion" has been found. Yet the investigation goes on, at the demand of the never-Trump media and Beltway establishment.

Hence, and understandably, suspicions have arisen.

Are the investigators after the truth, or are they after Trump?

Set aside the Trump-Putin conspiracy theory momentarily, and consider a rival explanation for what is going down here:

That, from the outset, Director James Comey and an FBI camarilla were determined to stop Trump and elect Hillary Clinton. Having failed, they conspired to break Trump's presidency, overturn his mandate and bring him down.

Essential to any such project was first to block any indictment of Hillary for transmitting national security secrets over her private email server. That first objective was achieved 18 months ago.

I kept looking for this video for about an hour and then gave up. ;)

Did read a document on JW website that the State Department was ordered to release the documents by December 31. Looks like they will start being released tomorrow. YAY, something to look forward to. :69

Since the Statement Dept. has been reviewing since October, I can only imagine the redactions. :roll

That's okay, better than nothing.

LOL, no THAT happens January 15, or April, if ever. ;)

I only see a lot of talk and discussion of what is revealed, when they are released.
I'm guessing EVERYONE in the emails has been briefed at this point, all the way up to HRC.
Insiders within the State Department informing all of them. This is my guess.

Nunes blasts DOJ, FBI for 'failure' to produce records relating to anti-Trump dossier
By John Roberts, Alex Pappas | Fox News

Exclusive - House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes is blasting the Department of Justice and the FBI for its “failure to fully produce” documents related to an anti-Trump dossier, saying “at this point it seems the DOJ and FBI need to be investigating themselves.”

In a Thursday letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein obtained by Fox News, Nunes expressed frustration that information and witnesses subpoenaed by the committee in August related to the so-called Steele dossier had not yet been turned over. The salacious dossier includes unverified allegations about President Trump's connections with Russia that he has denied.

“Unfortunately, DOJ/FBI's intransigence with respect to the August 24 subpoenas is part of a broader pattern of behavior that can no longer be tolerated,” the California Republican wrote to Rosenstein.

Nunes demanded that all records – and available dates for witnesses to testify – be provided to the committee by Jan 3.

“As a result of the numerous delays and discrepancies that have hampered the process of subpoena compliance, the committee no longer credits the representations made by DOJ and/or the FBI regarding these matters,” Nunes said.

He called the DOJ’s initial response to the subpoenas “disingenuous at best.”

Nunes said the DOJ informed the House Intelligence Committee several weeks ago that the “basic investigatory documents demanded by the subpoenas…did not exist.”

“As it turns out, not only did documents exist that were directly responsive to the committee’s subpoenas, but they involved senior DOJ and FBI officials who were swiftly reassigned when their roles in matters under the committee’s investigation were brought to light,” Nunes wrote.

The information is so redacted that there isn't much here. I think the biggest damage is that Classified emails/documents were located on Weiner's laptop, while he was in Congress and while he was being investigated.

Mueller grand jury room 'looks like a Bernie Sanders rally' claims Russia probe witness who says two jurors wore 'peace t-shirts'

  • Special counsel Robert Mueller has obtained two indictments from a grand jury
  • A person who testified to the D.C.-based panel says Trump can't get a 'fair shake'
  • The person told Page Six the room looks like a Bernie Sanders rally
  • Compared jurors to Black Lives Matter rally participants
  • Trump has called the probe a witch hunt but also said he'll be treated 'fairly'
  • The dig at the grand jury follows GOP attacks on the FBI and Mueller

A witness who testified before a federal grand jury that handed down indictments of top Trump associates says the president can't get a fair shake and compared the jury room to a Bernie Sanders rally.

The witness claimed two of 20 jurors were wearing 'peace T-shirts,' and popped off on the jury pool to the New York Post's Page Six.

'The grand jury room looks like a Bernie Sanders rally,' the witness said. 'Maybe they found these jurors in central casting, or at a Black Lives Matter rally in Berkeley,' said the witness.

'There was only one white male in the room, and he was a prosecutor,' said the source.

The person said of 20 jurors, 11 are African-American.

That figure closely mirrors the racial composition of Washington, D.C., which is 49 per cent black. The jury pool, if the source is accurate, is 49 per cent black.

In some cases, D.C. has had difficulty getting juries to match the racial composition of the city, the Washington Post has reported, due to difficulty getting poor minorities to answer the call for jurors and a higher proportion of young black men being eligible due to criminal convictions.

'That room isn't a room where POTUS gets a fair shake,' said the source, using shorthand common in the White House for and D.C. insiders for the president.

The OIG report will go to the relevant committees in both Senate and House

........................SENATE..............................................HOUSE
Image

The House and Senate Judiciary Committees oversee the Department of Justice. It is to those two committees that the OIG report will go to. The Senate judiciary committee chairman is Chuck Grassley. The House judiciary committee chairman is Bob Goodlatte.

The OIG report still remains scheduled to be delivered in March/April (Maybe)

Justice Department ‘Looking Into’ Hillary Clinton’s Emails— Again
Betsy Woodruff. 01.04.18 10:00 AM ET

An ally of Attorney General Jeff Sessions who is familiar with the thinking at the Justice Department’s Washington headquarters described it as an effort to gather new details on how Clinton and her aides handled classified material. Officials’ questions include how much classified information was sent over Clinton’s server; who put that information into an unclassified environment, and how; and which investigators knew about these matters and when. The Sessions ally also said officials have questions about immunity agreements that Clinton aides may have made.

DOJ deal gives Nunes access to 'all' documents, witnesses sought in Russia probe, letter says
By Catherine Herridge | Fox News

EXCLUSIVE: House investigators will get access this week to “all remaining investigative documents” – in unredacted form – that they had sought as part of their Russia inquiry, under a deal between Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., according to a letter obtained by Fox News.

The letter, from Nunes to Rosenstein, summarizes an “agreement” reached on a phone call Wednesday evening and also says key FBI and Justice Department witnesses in the probe will be provided for interviews later this month.
[.....]
According to the letter, committee investigators also will get access to eight key witnesses this month including FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, who exchanged anti-Trump text messages during an affair and previously worked on the special counsel’s Russia probe; FBI general counsel James Baker, who was reassigned; FBI head of counterintelligence Bill Priestap, whom ex-FBI boss James Comey testified made the decision not to brief Congress about the Russia case during last year's election; and Bruce Ohr, a DOJ official reassigned after concealing meetings with figures involved in the dossier.

The witnesses are directly tied to allegations of political bias.

Nunes wrote that outstanding text messages between Strzok and Page will be delivered by Jan. 11.

The agreement could subject the DOJ and FBI to a level of scrutiny to which they are not accustomed.
