I see Fox is doing the usual (Daft) "hurricane report" via a live report from a moron reporter out in the wind and rain.... I HOPE Shep gets a turn Hurricane Harvey NEEDS a "man" of Shep's stature |

Apparently...... The most important thing about Hurricane Harvey is...... it's a test of Trump's "competence" and Trump in general Imagine that.... the left and FakeNews media are HOPING for lots of deaths and damage.. and they WILL be holding Trump PERSONALLY responsible ------------ I see Fox News following the usual daft formula of having a LIVE reporter standing out in the wind and rain. Here's hoping that Shep Smith gets a turn when the storm is at it's worst... Whorealdo would be good... or Juan Williams.... my suggestion is that "The Five" set up the show LIVE on the waterfront |

Breaking: Sebastian Gorka Resigns From Trump Administration August 25, 2017 By Mollie Hemingway Sebastian Gorka is resigning his post as Deputy Assistant to President Trump, multiple sources familiar with the situation have told The Federalist. In a blunt resignation letter, the national security and counterterrorism expert expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Trump administration. “[G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House,” Gorka wrote. “As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the People’s House.” Gorka’s letter expressed unhappiness with the direction the Trump administration’s foreign policy has taken, as signaled by the president’s recent speech on Afghanistan: “Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will ‘Make America Great Again,’ have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week… “The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost… “Just as worrying, when discussing our future actions in the region, the speech listed operational objectives without ever defining the strategic victory conditions we are fighting for. This omission should seriously disturb any national security professional, and any American who is unsatisfied with the last 16 years of disastrous policy decisions which have led to thousands of Americans killed and trillions of taxpayer dollars spent in ways that have not brought security or victory.” ...more at link http://thefederalist.com/2017/08/25/bre ... I have to say.... I too was disappointed in the decision to STAY in Afghanistan... I appreciate that suddenly quitting is not an oprion.. and even announcing a gradual withdrawal is NOT a good idea. My hope is that there will in effect BE a gradual withdrawal... quietly without making a big deal of it and alerting the enemy. |

Can't agree with you more re Afghanistan, Rumpole. So do you think Dr. Gorka is going to do a Steve Bannon kind of thing, post-resignation? Disappointed to read the news, BUT if he thinks he can support Trump better "outside the People's House" I'll wait to see. Glad NK missiles failed. Good grief, he's (lil' Kim) like a kid with big, dangerous toys. Who can really take him seriously? Great news about Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio's pardon ... sooner than I expected. |
