I see YET ANOTHER letter from Congress demanding documents from FBI/DoJ.... The Grassley letter May 11th 2018, regarding Flynn evidence...... Deadline set... but they will be IGNORED (as usual)... documents will be refused, redacted etc.... no consequences Still.... it gives the Conservative Fan posters a "thrill up their legs".... Renewed excitement about a pending "Big Ugly" orgasm... Talk of THE FIRST DOMINO FALLING!!... Again!! IF there are stacked dominoes... then they are firmly GLUED in place... NRATV  I finally got round to watching Dan Bongino's show on NRATV.  https://www.nratv.com/ Worked fine.. but it looks like you only get to watch a few videos before needing to register..... but it's free and no hassle... log in with an email address and a pw. Conservative fan-posters...... Seem to be eternally "optimistic" (delusional) that each new "revelation".... reference to some document etc hails the imminent start of some "Big Ugly". That somebody is about to be indicted and that will be "The first Domino" to fall as scores of other indictments follow. Of course we all HOPE that people will be held accountable.... indictments, trials and long prison sentences.... but surely that is NOT what has happened in the past, and so seems unlikely to happen now (or any time soon) The Clintons (just as one example) have been investigated for the past 30 years and depite plenty of "probable cause" to at least investigate more seriously....NO INDICTMENTS. The current crop of corrupt officials should have been subject to CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION soon after Trump (Sessions) took charge of the DoJ.... but there is no sign that happened then... or is happening even now.... even though there have been CRIMINAL REFERRALS from OIG and from Congress. It is "possible" that such investigations are underway IN SECRET (albeit way too late) but again history shows that to assume that is nieve to say the least. No sign of investigation (leaks) means NO INVESTIGATION. Again the Conservative fan posters are engaged in "wishful thinking" (self delusion). The key players... "first dominoes"... do not even show signs of concern/anxiety... some may be "good actors" hiding their true concerns... but it seems to me they really are not contemplating being subject to criminal proceedings? Maybe IF a "Domino" or 2 actually DID FALL... the roaches would scatter? But no sign of that happening.... ever! |

Great post, Rumpole. I don't have much to add because I haven't read there in a while and I'm out of touch with current news. I roll my eyes every time I see a new letter or probe mentioned. What confuses me (or because of my lack of knowledge) is why President Trump does not make a few late night calls and get the ball rolling on some serious indictments. He tweets about so many, why not command it? I realize what Trump is doing in the big picture in all the world matters, and I'm very happy what he is accomplishing, but the lack of demanding Sessions and a few others to do their job is frustrating after 18 months. btw - I love the phrases you keep adding to your hashtag lists... too funny. OK, I'll go read and have a laugh or two.

Yeah... agree on Trump.... He is the fucking President of the United fucking States (and leader of the Free fucking world)... he has the power to swat these assholes.... snowflake liberals and corrupt bastids should be afraid.... very afraid!! But.... I assume his initial thought (and bad advice given to him) was to stay "aloof" from all this shit... to avoid the left howling about him being a "despot" (or whatever). I think the problem with THAT is it amounts to "appeasement" (which never works) The left still see him as a despot... so what's the gain? If I was president... I'd send Navy Seals in to DoJ and FBI to grab documents and arrest people... if any "staff" got shot in the process... that would be a bonus.... but that's just me.

I agree 100 percent. I have been praying every night that PT would just scorch them all. My family (asking me to live my life and quit staying upset) believe it will never happen either. But I am a black or white kind of person, NO gray area. A hard way to live because life doesn't work that way. "If a few got shot" in the process would work for me too. |
