Both articles are exceptionally weak; the Democrats are rushing to cut their losses:

    Article One is “Abuse of power” – and structured on a false premise that President Trump “exercised the powers of his public office to obtain an improper personal benefit, while ignoring or injuring the national interest.”

    Article Two is “Obstruction of Congress” – and structured on a ridiculous premise that President Trump “engaged in unprecedented, categorical, and indiscriminate defiance of the impeachment inquiry”, by challenging congressional subpoenas and seeking relief from the judicial branch.

Both articles are structurally deficient in the extreme. It will be interesting to see which House democrats could possibly vote for these articles, especially article two. There is a possibility some democrats will ignore Pelosi’s whip.

AFTER THE IMPEACHMENT TRIAL!!

IF Trump had PROPER support.. the Senate would laugh this nonsense back to Schiff!!

I am NOT listening to much of what the DIM speakers have to say, but I have heard bits of most of them. They all want to talk about how they rose from tough lives.. to become Congressmen(women)... Great story.. iconic America.. but NOTHING to do with Trump or the Constitution .. or the "Rule of Law". The Republicans all seem to have pointed out that there are NO CRIMES identified by anybody.. even the biased DIM witnesses.. .. and that The DIMS have perverted the serious business of "Impeachment" and set a precedent.. such that Impeachment will never be serious again .. it will just be a political ploy that Parties can play if it suits Politics of the day.....SAD

I imagine that when The vote is passed... it WILL set a precedent.

IF the party opposed to a first term President controls the House.....

They will IMPEACH him a year out from the next POTUS election.

The fiasco within the House Judiciary Committee assembling articles for impeachment went from partisan bias to unilaterally ridiculous when Chairman Nadler used banana republic tactics to adjourn the committee and simultaneously schedule a vote on the two articles of impeachment for 10:00am tomorrow.

Nadler surprised the committee when he arbitrarily ended the mark-up session, and out of nowhere adjourned the committee shortly before midnight. The chairman announced the HJC would reconvene at 10:00am on Friday the 13th (apropos all things considered) to vote the two articles out of committee. There was no discussion with Ranking member Doug Collins and no communication with the minority at all. A unilateral declaration.

Representative Doug Collins was at first surprised, then furious at the shameful and partisan committee rule-breaking by Chairman Nadler. House democrats are taking a big gamble by manipulating a process in the extreme and hoping Americans will not punish their blood-lust for impeachment, and political abuse of power.

The DIMS did not like Trump winning and so planned to Impeach him from the moment he won the election
It seems to me like a "no-brainer"...
You CAN NOT allow an opposition party to keep laying spurious charges against a President simply because they dont like him. If they retain control of the House, they could keep doing this for 5 more years! What limits FALSE accusations in normal legal proceedings are the CONSEQUENCES of making FALSE ACCUSATIONS, and the same sort of thing should apply to false Impeachment charges. If an Impeachment goes to TRIAL in the Senate, and fails to be upheld (The President acquitted in effect) then then those who promoted the trial in the HOUSE should be punished... maybe the "ring leaders" should be removed from office.
