I fear you nmay be falling into the Dim/media trap, TreeDweller :)

The HILLARY EMAILS...all those on her server, including the 33,000 deleted... some found in State System .. ALL FOUND (as far as I can tell??) on Weiner's laptop (via Huma) That was stuff Hillary was doing When she was SoS in 2009

The emails that Assange released were from DNC server 2016 (nothing to do with Hillary server which she was using in 2009). They were COPIED from DNC server... but NO EVIDENCE the server was "hacked"
Smart people say the DNC server was not HACKED to get those emails... they were copied to a thumb drive. Hacking is VERY different... where somebody gets into the computer (from outside via the Interwebs)... copies and likely changes/makes up files... that never happened. Assange released copies of REAL DNC emails.. that they have never denied were real. As far as Podesa emails goes..Podesta emails were from his own email account. They were certainly not "HACKED"... he gave up his password (which was "password") to a phishing scam who asked for it.. then used it to access his emails.

Sorry - what I meant was the DNC e-mails.
BTW - aren't you just dying to see all of Shrillary's yoga exercises and Chelsea wedding plans
from the Weiner laptop? LOL

So do you think Mr. Thumb Drive user/copier was Seth Rich?

I know about stupid Podesta's phishing expedition also.

I dont know about Seth Rich?
Cops did investigate?
I do not like conspiracy theories... talk of Seth being murdered by Hillary operatives seems a stretch :)
Especially since the damage was already done. It would actually draw attention to kill the guy like that?

Having said all that... Seth could be the person who copied emails and gave them to Assange.

IF you had full access to DNC server I imagine there is a LOT of stuff besides emails to copy... The fact that only emails were copied, supports the notion it was a junior person with access to emails only.. that could well be Seth Rich.

No one (except his killers) knows much about Seth Rich, it seems.

It's not Hillary operatives I'm thinking of either ----- it's the CIA.

I'm thinking maybe he had to be silenced so he could not testify that he was the one who did it - should the occasion arise.

Julian Assange Says He's 'Slowly Dying' In Prison During Christmas Eve Phone Call: Report
Matt Novak
Jan 2, 2020, 5:00pm

Julian Assange is slurring his speech and worried about dying in prison, according to a new report from British journalist and former Army officer Vaughan Smith. The journalist spoke with Russian state TV network RT on Tuesday and revealed that Assange called him over the phone from Britain’s Belmarsh prison on Christmas Eve.

“He said to me, ‘I’m slowly dying here,” Smith told RT, claiming that Assange was allowed just one call for Christmas.

“His speech was slurred. He was speaking slowly. Now, Julian is highly articulate, a very clear person when he speaks. And he sounded awful and it was very upsetting to hear him,” Smith told RT.

“He didn’t actually say he was sedated. It seemed fairly obvious that he was and the idea that he’s been sedated has come from several people who’ve visited him who have clearly been told.”

Julian Assange leaves UK court in prison van
Jan 13, 2020
RT

Quote:
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been filmed leaving Westminster Magistrates’ Court in a police van after a brief preliminary hearing on Monday, part of his bid to prevent his extradition to the US to face espionage charges.

The 48-year-old Australian – who has been charged by the US with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion, working with former army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to break into Department of Defense systems and gain access to US state secrets – left court after a 12-minute hearing in London.

He was caught on camera as he was taken away in a police van, looking pale-faced and wearing glasses. The footage contains the voice of a supporter giving the journalist encouragement, to which he acknowledges with a series of nods.

The headline is "Fake News"...
It is HEARSAY of a claim that Trump made an offer :roll
Click bait for TDS readers.

Assange's lawyer Edward Fitzgerald, QC, said former Republican congressman Dana Rohrabacher told the WikiLeaks founder he would be pardoned if he denied Russian tampering.

Donald Trump offered Julian Assange a pardon if he said the Russians didn't play a role in the leak of DNC emails, court hears

  • Assange is wanted on 18 charges in the US for conspiring to expose state secrets
  • He appeared from Belmarsh Prison, south east London, via video link today
  • His lawyer said case isn't ready so extradition hearing will finish in June

The 48-year-old appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court via video-link from Belmarsh Prison wearing a brown jumper and white shirt with black jeans and trainers. He seemed calm as he rifled through court documents.

The Australian national is being held at the maximum-security prison, also home to terrorists and serial killers, before his four-week extradition hearing begins on February 24.

But the court was told today the case will be split into two parts, the first for one week beginning February 24 and the second for three weeks beginning May 18.

Lawyers to seek asylum for Julian Assange in France

Assange’s European defence team say it is their duty to raise case with Emmanuel Macron

Lawyers at a press conference in Paris publicising Julian Assange’s asylum bid

Julian Assange’s European defence team have said they will try to seek asylum for him in France. Hearings over Assange’s extradition from the UK to the US on spying charges are due to start next week in London.

Éric Dupond-Moretti said the “fate and the status of all journalists” was at stake in Assange’s case. “We consider the situation is sufficiently serious,” he said, “that our duty is to talk about it” with the French president, Emmanuel Macron.

He was one of a team of lawyers lined up at a Paris news conference to explain why they view the case against Assange as unfair, citing his poor health and alleged violations of his rights while in jail in London.

Julian Assange Extradition Hearing Begins In London
February 24, 20202:13 PM ET
Laurel Wamsley

The extradition hearing for WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange began Monday in London — the latest turn in the legal saga of perhaps the world's most famous secret-spiller.

American officials want Assange, 48, brought to the U.S. to face charges. The U.S. government lawyer, James Lewis, argued that the case is not about journalism or First Amendment rights, but about computer hacking and publishing unredacted classified documents. "Reporting or journalism is not an excuse for criminal activities or a license to break ordinary criminal laws," Lewis told the Woolwich Crown Court, according to The New York Times.

Assange has been indicted in the U.S. on 18 counts related to illegally obtaining, receiving and disclosing classified information in 2010. He is accused of conspiring with Chelsea Manning, a former intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army, in a coordinated effort to compromise U.S. government computer networks, and obtain and publish classified documents related to national security.

Julian Assange's lawyers say he tried to warn the US government about release of sensitive files. He was told to call back
By Nada Bashir and Sheena McKenzie, CNN
Updated 2022 GMT (0422 HKT) February 25, 202

London (CNN)Julian Assange tried to warn the US government that sensitive documents were to be leaked "imminently," but was told to call back in a few hours, according to his lawyers during the second day of the WikiLeaks founder's extradition hearing in London.
Assange personally warned the State Department that an encrypted database of 250,000 unredacted US diplomatic cables was about to be leaked in 2011, his lawyer Mark Summers told Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday.
The cables included the identities of people -- some deemed high risk -- who had been in communication with the US.

Assange contacted officials after it became known that German newspaper Der Freitag had discovered the password to a database containing the unredacted files, Summers said.

The 48-year-old Australian, along with WikiLeaks editor Sarah Harrison, telephoned then-Secretary of State Hilary Clinton's emergency line to sound the alarm about the unredacted material, the court heard.
Assange personally warned: "I don't understand why you're not seeing the urgency in this... people's lives are at risk," according to Summers.
But he was told to call back in a few hours, said the lawyer.
CNN reached out to the State Department for a response, but had not received one at time of publishing.

Chelsea Manning hospitalized after suicide attempt, legal team say

The former intelligence analyst, who has been jailed for refusing to testify in WikiLeaks investigation, is ‘safe’ and ‘recovering’

Associated Press
Thu 12 Mar 2020

Chelsea Manning’s legal team said that the former intelligence analyst had tried to take her own life on Wednesday but was transported to a hospital where she was recovering.

The Alexandria sheriff, Dana Lawhorne, said: “There was an incident at approximately 12.11pm today at the Alexandria adult detention center involving inmate Chelsea Manning. It was handled appropriately by our professional staff and Ms Manning is safe.”

Manning has been in jail since May 2019 for refusing to testify before a grand jury investigating WikiLeaks. She was scheduled to appear in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, on Friday for a hearing on a motion to terminate the civil contempt sanctions stemming from that refusal.
