I thought Reverend Al did really well.

He certainly got HIS points across. I had no doubt what points he was trying to make and what seeds he was trying to plant in viewers minds.
I know WHAT MOM should be trying to say.. so I was already half way there… but still I could not follow exactly what he was saying.
Like.. there are 3 different interpretations of events.. and MOM agrees with all 3???

The Reverend Al is really not much evolved from the Traybot Amoebas who fall back on…..
“Well Zimmerman should never have gotten out of his truck (when he was told not to)”

In effect.. no matter what TM did, no matter how bad, violet, drugged, angry he was… none of this would have happened if George had not been there (obviously)… so WHATEVER happened.. it’s still George’s fault.

The fact that George’s character does not suggest he would hunt down a black teen, just to shoot and kill him is irrelevant….. in fact even if George was just walking past… it’s STILL his fault….. it would never have happened if George wasn’t there…. simple as that.
George had no right putting his nose in the very place an angry Trayvon was about to thrust his fist.

Of course he did. O'Mara is bound by the law in terms of what he can say about the case. The good reverend can spout off whatever the hell he wants and misrepresent whatever the hell he wants and throw out whatever strawmen he wants in order to put O'Mara in a "gotcha" type moment.

I understand why O'Mara wants to go on these types of shows, effectively trying to debate the opposition; quite frankly though, it's a losing proposition for him. The opposition doesn't care about the truth. It doesn't matter how many times O'Mara corrects them in terms of the law and known evidence, they will continue to fall back on their fallacies to show Zimmerman is wrong/guilty no matter what the story line is.

George had no right putting his nose in the very place an angry Trayvon was about to thrust his fist.

This is the bottom line for those looking to convict Zimmerman. They can't comprehend that someone can follow someone else and then still claim self defense. It doesn't matter to them what person B was doing. Person B is dead, ergo person A needs to be punished, come hell or high water.

You can see this in terms of the scheme narrative changing as the evidence changes.
Zimmerman was racist and profiled
Zimmerman hunted him down
W8 shows that Trayvon was screaming
Trayvon is innocent and not violent
Trayvon doesn't use drugs
...
Oh, well his drug use, violence, and gun collection is completely normal

I understand why MOM couldn't come out and say certain things, but I do feel he missed some opportunities. When Sharpton brought up GZ's "2" arrests. MOM did correct him. I think it was the perfect time to continue, point out the non-conviction was 7 years prior to 2/26/12. Draw attention to the fact that many, many false and misleading statements such as that, was the basis for the rallies, protests etc. People's emotions were played upon, using information that simply was not true.

Do you think the rev would have let him continue on that long? ;)

I'm sure the rev would have interrupted, but that's where I would have hoped MOM would be forceful and make his point.

As an aside, this article popped up on my Yahoo home page under the "All Stories"
http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/05/ ... s_man.html

I'm not sure if Yahoo selected it for me because of other stories I've read or if all Yahoo users get the same list. Regardless, though, it's nice to see the major web pages start to link to more balanced stories about this case.

A mea culpa for what I was writing about in the previous thread: No one in the news is reporting that anyone deleted anything off of Trayvon's phone. I was wrong, read the tweets, then reread the article and caught the meaning of what the Miami Herald was actually saying.

TL;DR = Misinterpreted what the twitter buzz was about.

"Below the headline was a photo of the young Martin, a near-saint only months back, recycling a lungful of marijuana smoke. If nothing else, the media were catching on to Martin's less than saintly behavior."

Not saintly behavior, but presidential behavior: roof hits - recycling a lungful of marijuana smoke.

This is getting spooky, maybe he really was Obama's son?

"As one of Obama’s old high school buddies tells Maraniss: “Wasting good bud smoke was not tolerated.”
Another Obama innovation: “Roof Hits.”
“When they were chooming in a car all the windows had to be rolled up so no smoke blew out and went to waste; when the pot was gone, they tilted their heads back and sucked in the last bit of smoke from the ceiling.”

I think O'Mara did terrific. With a screamer like Al, the best way of dealing with them is to keep smiling, don't fuel their anger with comments and let them just run down, trail off and out of steam. Let the screamer be the fool.
OMG, the Obama and son smoking pot reference is a hoot. "roof hits".

Read on Nettles that $32,000 has been collected in the last 48 hours for the Defense Fund. Way to go! :28
This must be making the Traybots crazed.

Are you saying that O'bama didn't invent smoking weed in a car with the windows up? Shocking. Next thing, you will be telling me that Al Gore didn't invent the internet.
